I have to say, i get the feeling i am going to be out of my depth with all of this baby making business..... reading the thead, i cant understand half of what everyone is saying cos of the BFP, CDsuchandsuch etc etc eeeeek  And its too hard to keep checking bk to the very beginning to see what it all means! And also, every seems SOOOO organised and knowing when they are ovulating etc..... am i the ONLY person who is just beginning to have a go? :o:o:o

I am still in the "omg i havent taken my pill deliberately for 3 nights now.... eeekkk....." had scared thoughts last night and almost got up to sneak one lol but then calmed myself down and remember WHY me and OH are trying! I can feel my body reacting already to not having taken the pill for only 3 nights.... tummy crampy and AF-ish feelings etc (also feeling hormonal lol - cried at Pat dying on Eastenders which is very un-me!)

But i figure that if i am feeling AF-ish with tummy cramps etc after only 3 missed pills, thats a good sign that its all still in working order i guess??

Dont worry in a week or so youll probably know what they all mean lol.

CD is just cycle day. BFP - big fat positive on a pg test. BFN - big fat negative.

You would get AF after stopping your pill normally for the pill free week anyway, so thats all thats happening now if youve stopped for 3 days. The interesting part is waiting to get a real AF, a few weeks later - or not if the case may be! :)

I think I had that scared feeling about possibly getting pregnant and not using any contraception for about 4 weeks, well I guess excited more than scared so much.

Now 6 months later Im so over that :rotfl: I guess you are told for so many years to be careful it seems unreal you can not use anything for months and NOT get pg.

It is a weird feeling at first as you have spent ages taking steps to prevent getting pregnant and then suddenly it all changes. In terms of tracking ovulation there is no need to take temperature or use ov testing kits especially when you haven't been trying long as you don't want to put pressure on yourself or your partner. I have recently been to see my doctor as I have been ttc for a couple if years and she told me that medical advice is still just to bd 2 to 3 times a week.

Primmer, i think thats it, for years you have trained yourself, body and mind to avoid being pregnant at all costs. Sometimes i don't blame my body for taking its time. This is 15 years of doing its job and suddenly changing sides!!

Ahh - I am on cerazette... with that you dont HAVE a pill free week EVER, you just keep taking it without a break at all.... so i literally havent had AF for years! Have been on it for over 6yrs!! So for me, it is REALLY weird and how it feels is all coming back to me
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?

In terms of tracking ovulation if you have regular periods theres probably no need to do opks or temp.

Mine seem to come when they feel like it though, so I do opks to make sure we dont miss ovulation. Otherwise Id be really stressed wondering. And then I also know Ill get AF 2 weeks later - so I can plan things around that.

If i knew it was coming every 28 days I probably wouldnt bother.

Ah ok, yeah if you are on the mini pill i guess it would be a bit weird!

My friend was on that, she loved not having AF for ages!
