Support thread for parents of chilldren sitting the transfer test in 2011

Hi Folks,
Does anyone have any idea about AQE Results (Feb 2013)? I would like to know if the scores are lower or higher this year and the number of applicants. It seems to change every year and my son is borderline (score 99).

Hi there can't be entirely sure with any year,it is so difficult to gauge marks from one year to the next .99 is def borderline in some schools but others not! My local school that uses aqe jumped up 20 marks from 55-75 in 2012. That is a very low score and one of the lowest acceptance marks of all the grammars in ni! My best advice is to look at kip McGrath Lisburn Facebook or website they have published the previous years marks for all the grammars within the boards in ni? Sorry I can't be of anymore help, I know it is an anxious time my own daughter lost out by one mark to her first choice however is happy , settled and doing well at the school second on her list. Needless to say it is still a grammar school however.
