    Would you consider moving him if a place became available in the future? I know someone who was offered a place just after the start of term.

    Sorry to hear that travellinglight. If it's any consolation, all schools and most teachers will do their best for your child and he will get a good education. Hopefully he'll start getting excited by it when he goes in. Most schools have a full induction programme for Y8s so that they can get to know the school, the teachers and each other. They ease them in gently and make them feel a bit special - because they are :).

    yes.
    Not cutting any tags off just yet.... nor putting any name tabs on!!! Highly unlikely tho as he's not number 1 on list. But his name remains onlist for 1 year with option of keeping it there each year after that if you fill in a form.... who knows. He may well settle and love his new school....
