Groupon - Pearl National Teeth Whitening SCAM!

Total scam i booked an appointment i was sent a text to cancel booked again another text was sent to cancel booked again no text to cancel so i went along to the newcastle branch only to be told by the receptionist that they had vacated the premises with no notice!!!!!!!........ i phoned GROUPON got through on my second attempt and was told they had received no complaints towards pearl national asked me what address i had went to which she agreed was correct i was told as i had booked an appointment the voucher had been claimed and therefore would need to be investigated. i told her i wanted a full refund to which she replied it may be possible but we do need to investigate as this is the only complaint!!!!!!!!!!!! reading this site i think not so thank you guys for posting on it i shall be back on the phone tmoro demanding a refund!!!!

I have not had the promised refund from groupon.Does anyone have any advice re what I should do next. Is it worth contacting trading standards? Any info appreciated

I went for my appointment today and 'Pearl National' were not known at the address at all. I also met a lady there with an appointment at the same time. She had had an appointment the week before and the same thing had happened to her. I'm sure it's a scam, I only hope I can get a refund.

Hi all, i unfortunately bought a voucher from Groupon for Pearl National before seeing these reviews and have had the exact same problems. I have been unable to get a response from Groupon so I have just lodged a complaint with Consumer Direct. I would recommend that anyone else who has also had these problems do so to ensure that Consumer Direct realise this is a problem a lot of people are experiencing and hopefully we would then all receive a full refund.

WENT TO CARDIFF TODAY WITH MY WIFE, BECAUSE I BOOKED HER IN WITH PEARL NATIONAL TO HAVE HER TEETH WHITENED. WHEN WE TURNED UP, THERE WAS NO SUCH COMPANY AT THAT ADDRESS, WHEN WE SPOKE TO A LADY AT RECEPTION SHE SAID THAT ANOTHER LADY HAD TURNED UP A DAY BEFORE AND SHE ALSO HAD BEEN BOOKED IN, BUT THE COMPANY DON'T EXIST, SHE ALSO WENT TO ANOTHER ADDRESS AND THAT DIDN'T EXIST EITHER.I AM IN THE PROCESS OF TRYING TO CLAIM MY MONEY BACK, AS I BOOKED IT THOUGH MIGHTY DEALS, WHICH IS I UNDERSTAND PART OF THE MARTYN LEWIS WEB SITE? OR RECOMMENDED BY MARTYN LEWIS WEB SITE. SO, I HOPE THEY DO BETTER BY RECOMMENDING MORE REPUTABLE COMPANIES IN FUTURE, AND I HOPE THEY ARE ABLE TO GIVE ME A REFUND, WITHOUT ME GOING TO THE FRAUD OFFICE AND CLAIMING BACK OFF MY CREDIT CARD :mad:

please do not use this company. I booked a voucher with groupon and i never managed to contact the company as the numbers provided were not in use.

It is a scam!!! I too went for this deal on Groupon for Pearl Teeth Whitening.
Purchased this deal in September and promptly rang for a booking. Was given the 2 Nov 2011 , the night before they text my home phone to say it was cancelled. I had already purchased the train ticket to get to Cardiff, this was wasted. I rang the next day to be given another date 28 Nov. 2 days before was sent a message on phone saying there was a technical fault and they would have to cancell the booking. I again rang up and was given the 14 December 2011. As I received no cancellation I booked my train travel and headed to Cardiff. Found their office at Haywood House North at Dumfries place. Went in to reception and was told the company had left 6 -7 weeks before. This was before the last to appointments were made on their central booking number of 020 3384 6646. They must of known when they took the booking. Also when I rang Groupon they pretended no one else had complained and tried to book me into another city or town. I told them I wanted my money back which they have had tax free for 3 months. Will never trust anything on Groupon again.

Anybody thinking of getting this groupon for pearl national teeth whitening...YOU'RE NUTS!!!! DON'T DO IT!!!! I was also amazed by this to good to be true deal, only to be left let down. I received a text 2 days before telling me my appointment was cancelled due to not having enough equipment...re-scheduled my appointment and received a text yet again saying my appointment was cancelled. The facility is just rented office space with NO SINKS!!! I have emailed groupon regarding a refund or even getting groupon credits. You only get 1 set of teeth so don't leave them in the hands of pearl national...probably some chavs with a beauty nvq!!!!!!!

Also groupon must have received complaints about pearl national surely??? I was shocked when I received daily deals on groupon for teeth whitening but with....PEARL NATIONAL!!! !!!!!!??? How can they still advertist this joke of a company!
