I can see where you are coming from!!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
i had no letter either, but stclair insists i did...
heads up on this select silver account, i was told about this today, at no point was i told that it would cost me £8.00 per month for the privillage :mad: think i will be checking tomorrow and cancelling if they are.
No what im saying is the change was communicated via atleast 4 different channels including:
* Mailshot
* Insert in bank statement
* Email
* Via Natwest WebsiteIm an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -

This is a blatant lie because...
There are different ways to play this. Now that your bf knows that Link ATM access is blocked is it a significant inconvenience? If so for what reasons?
Tactically I would "set a trap" for Natwest by making an online application (I take it your bf is registered for online banking?) for a Select account, the fee-free one i.e. not Silver. Make sure that a chequebook and overdraft is not requested. See what happens. Let the outcome determine the next step.
Seperately I would advise your bf to investigate why the notifications were apparently not received. Maybe there is an address issue? Are statements being received OK? To the correct address?0 -
I think you was missing my "POINT".
i know what your point is, that there was more than one way they advertised the change BUT, you are denying that you said that i HAD been sent a letter, and went as far to say that i perhaps chucked it away without reading it.I can assure you a letter was sent to every customer and the information was also included as an insert in your bank statement.
So all in all the information was communicated at least 3 times including information available on the natwest website.I can assure you the letter was sent as a mailshot and would have no relavance to whether you have statements or not. I can imagine they would have said that to shut you up sorry. I'll try and get you a copy of the letter and post it on here foe you.You probably did but you must likely threw it away thinking it was junk like most people do. What was the persons name can you remember?
As i have said before i did receive an email and i didnt take too much notice of it as i get loads of emails from various banks with spam, so i take what is said with a pinch of salt, i dont get statements in the post and as the man i spoke to at the bank today said.. ah yes you wouldnt of received a letter if you are paperfree.
I would of assumed a bank would of sent a letter regardless if you were paperfree or not to ensure you knew of the changes, and as i keep saying i never got a letter and even the bank confirmed today i wouldnt of done because i was paperfree.
I mean this is serious account change, obviously the bank have admitted that not everyone would of got a letter, they admitted this,
Oh and can you please answer my question about why you want the name of the person i spoke to? I've answered yours.0 -

I don't really care whether you've got one leg and no eyes etc to be honest or even paralysised from the waist down.
What im saying is the advisor is totally incorrect. Just because you do not have statements it does not stop you from receiving mailings. I don't receive statements and I still got the letter.... I was just about to post it online actually when I can work out how to do it..
I suspect you was being told this to either shut you up (not in a bad way) or to tell you something you think you may of wanted to hear.
I shall investigate and raise this within the business as its utter non sense hense asking the persons name. However I shall ensure a comms bulletin is communicated at some point tomorrow to the care team.
The amount of letters/junk I get in statements you think I ever take any notice of them???

Plus at no point have i said you have received one I have said quote on quote....
