singlehouseholder wrote:Hello all. Having a bad day, week, month, last few months really, but had myself on autopilot. Starting to nosedive now though. Don't want to be put back on Prozac-it numbed everything and gave my head/brain little, what can only be described as mild electric shocks.... How do you pull yourself out of the descent?xx
shh!
Well done on posting angel though I'm sorry you're so low.
Ok hun, Tiff advice says that it's time to see your gp again.
Sometimes we are taken off ad's if there's sustained improvement, but there is no shame in going back to your gp and saying you need help again.;) If you need meds to help you, then you need them angel - that's what's important, that you get the help you need to be well.
One positive angel, is that YOU recognized that you're having a blip as it were. :T That's your survivor mode kicking in hun!
I think you know shh how to pull yourself out of the descent because you've done it before hun - you need to go and see the professionals for the help you need. See your gp now so you can prevent yourself from going any lower.
Explain to your gp how you felt when you were on those ads - there are so many ad options angel and you could ask for help to find one that suits you better.
Meanwhile hun, post as much as you like here - the guys on here are amazing!;)
And just in case you need it...

Morning. Just to let you know I had a letter from the Physcotherapist - I've got an hour long assessment in the middle of April to decide it Pyscotherpay is for me. The letter says there will be a long wait after this appointment for actual sessions :-/ I think I might have to go private if this goes on much longer, its about £70 for a session of conselling isn't it? Think I'm gonna have to look in to that, although money is pretty tight as it looks like I'm gonna have to fork out about a grand to go to Tokoyo in March. Wait and see eh, hopefully I can manage. Its only taken 7 months to get an assessment lol. Wonder how long it'll take to get an actual appointment :eek:Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0

Morning feelie hun. That is a long time to wait. You shouldn't have to pay anything like that amount if you go private. Many places, including the one I go to, charge fees on a sliding scale according to income and charge only a minimum amount for people not in work. Might be worth looking into hun if you feel you can't wait that long. Sazxx4 May 20100 -

I don't work - but OH is very well paid so we'd likely have to stump up alotI'll look in to the sorts of costs, it depends. My mum offered to get me a few sessions last time I stayed with her, but I declined - I didn't want her to pay for something that didn't work. Waiting ain't a problem really, time passes anyways, I don't 'need' to do anything really, I'm doing more than enough by getting through each day sober. Thats enough for now.

Well.. we wont have any definite info for three months for the blood tests  I can't belive how stupid she was!!!
She's still in the hospital.. used drawing pins out of a notice board to cut herself some moreShe's not making life easy for the nurses.. she's in a children's ward because of her age but it's really not set up to cope with a mentally disturbed adolecscent although the nurses are lovely and doing their best.
There's going to be a review meeting tomorrow with the staff from the clinic where she normally is.. local social services, the local mental health team, our GP and someone from the PCT.. she must be causing ripples for the bigwigs to be coming out of the woodwork eh?
Soo.. I've got to drop off the cat at the vets in the morning, dash back home, get booted n suited and get to the faaaaaaaaaaaaar other side of london for the meeting then dash back to collect the cat.. wish me luck guys, lol
Thanks all of you for the kind words and support you've expressed over this.. it means a lot.. especially since I'm too afraid to tell anyone in the real world about it in case they start treating her differently
big huggs for everyone xxxxxxxxx
Good luck ethel hun. An anxious time for all concerned, but at least as Tiff says, it sounds like the care team are starting to take her needs seriously - as they should have done from the outset. Let's hope the meeting today gets things moved forward. Take care. Sazxxx4 May 20100
