I don't miss that many doses, and I'm getting better. The meds I stop taking are for various other things, and don't affect the depression. I started taking the AD's in October, so almost 4 months now? I dunno. Just nothing seems to work.

Yes feelie - I agree with gem & sazzy - time for a drs visit pronto! As well as ad's, you can get other therapies through GP referral from physios now - eg. acupuncture. Any port in a storm eh hun?hug.gif
Any missed doses will count angel.
The meds you say you stop taking, that are for various other things, will still be more likely to affect your body chemistry hun and the effectiveness of any of your meds.
Your dr would have prescribed your ad's while believing that you are taking the other meds too. Even though they may not seem connected angel, all medicines interact with each other.
There is an answer hun, we just gotta keep trying. Something - or a combination of somethings - will work angel!:T Sending you hugs.
    Much Love,

NAh - the medication is for other stuff - doesn't interferre at all.

I'm waiting for physcotherapy, thats all that is on offer to me. I went to the docs the other day, so gotta wait a couple of weeks now.

I just checked the jar - we've now got £1.03 save. So I reckon we can start checking out the shops

Hope you get some rest over the weekend tiffy hun. Thinking of you as always.

Then I'd just have to settle for being their personal tour guide for their honeymoon in Rome! Yes, I know it's a hard job, but someone has to do it!:D Thank heavens for pet passports!:rotfl:

  • Hello all. Having a bad day, week, month, last few months really, but had myself on autopilot. Starting to nosedive now though. Don't want to be put back on Prozac-it numbed everything and gave my head/brain little, what can only be described as mild electric shocks.... How do you pull yourself out of the descent?xx

Hi single. Thanks for your post and welcome to the thread. Sorry to hear you're having a tough time. It can be difficult, we all find it tough going at times - posting here does help us get through though, so you're welcome to anytime.

Please bear in mind that you don't have to take something that you're not happy with taking. We cannot make a diagnosis or recommend drugs on this thread. Without knowing your circumstances, it's still worth pointing out that there's a wide variety of treatment options available in terms of medication and also non-medication. Please make an appointment with your doctor and discuss all your symptoms with them, how the prozac made you feel and then they can discuss a treatment plan with you. You do not need to struggle on your own - get the help you fully deserve and make a start on the path to feeling well (you deserve that too). We're here if you need us. Take care, Sazx

    Hi folks,

Been out for posh coffee with mates earlier.
Siting on sofa discovering Jeff Buckley.
I've had a headache for 3 days solid now. I can feel my ear pulsing. It's just something I get I guess. Specialist not interested and ADs aren't touching the headaches - even thought that is theoretically why I'm on them.

I have to see doc in about 2 weeks to see how i'm getting on and I will discuss it all then. I don't have any more lectures for about a month. So I just have to revise inbetween headaches.

I'm in a think about housework but not do any mood too. My new love is coming tomorow and it's getting a bit dusty round here. Oh well, I've washed the bedding - that's all that matters ;)

Hope you are all well and enjoying the sunshine.
I've got the windows open - I know it's cold but it's symbolic.

I've got a fruitbowl full of apples on the turn. So it might be apple tray bake time - a mom recipie that i've loved since a kid. I wish my dad was still alive coz no-one makes custard like he did.

That thought has made me quite sad. Losing someone is a terrible thing and hugs to all of you who have had loss or are worried it's happening.

Maybe it's the ADs but when i have an emotion it seems much stronger than i'm used to. I actually quite like it. I'm not afraid of the crap - its more the happiness I can't deal with. I tend to push it away coz i feel its fleeting or undeserved or it's my self-destruct impulse. But I am trying really hard to fight the negative stuff with my new love. It's going really well with her, she's wonderful. We have distance and other limitations which are going to make it harder as we go but we will just have to cope with it. I hope the hats are needed for me and blinky.

    Love you all

I would rather drown with you than watch the surf with someone else
  • Thankyou Sazbo for your kind words.I really appreciate it.
I missed a days overtime today 'cos I couldn't face going into work, which is part of the problem....its hard to talk to people, more so my friends. Don't want them to worry about me,i'm the one that shores them up,they have their own problems. Was seeing a CPN a while ago, might see if Dr will refer me back to him.I'm really worried though, if the plug is pulled its all going to come out...
