  • What i meant is Tiff that i would take the printout to my counsellor, another thing is i get inanely jealous that my friends seem to have very good jobs that are paid a good wage for not doing a great deal.

That !!!!es me off so much and used to motivate me
  • Still no news on jobs btw, nothing from asda or smiths, i dont know what to do, i dont believe in ringing up about a job, i believe that if they want me to work for them then its a case that they will let me know, its got to be a two way thing, they must want me as well as me wanting to work for them.

What i must be careful with is predicting the future and then convincing myself that is what will happen, as I have found myself doing with ASDA. If i dont get it, then my focus must go onto smiths and vice versa.

Money isnt an issue yet, but belt tightening has taken place,
  • Just wrote a long reply and IE crashes  piece of !!!!! Really not in the mood.

Has anyone heard from Ethel recently?

I am returning to work tomorrow  Back to 40+ hours a week. It's scary but I really want to go back. The only downside is that my actual job is being covered until the end of April so I have to work out the front instead.

I managed to get a Doctor's appointment this evening. The consultant has not even informed my GP that I am no longer taking Cipralex. The Doctor said that suddenly stopping Cipralex can produce withdrawal symptoms. He was going to sign me off again but I really didn't want that. He prescribed me with a beta-blocker to help with the anxiety which he hopes will help with the dizziness if it's related.

flis21, Try not to stress yourself out. I know you've got lots going on at the moment but it's not worth making yourself ill over. It might help to make a list and prioritise the things that need doing first and work your way through.

Great news about the physio. You must be progressing really well. You must be really pleased about hopefully returning to work in 2 weeks time :T

Why won't your creditors agree to an IVA?

Tiff, How are you? I hope you're looking after yourself. Any nights out planned this week?

Thank you for all your continued support. You're a star :T

learning_to_drive, Try to stay positive. People are slowly returning to work after the Easter break. You might hear something towards the end of the week.

Pumpkin Pie, goodluck3qe3.gif for tomorrow. I hope that your first day back goes well.

I am feeling  annoyed, dizzy and sick so I think it's best I just go to bed and sleep it off.

    Night guys. xXx

I am feeling really overtired just now - slept badly last night and now I am awake now.

I have found it hard to function today and had a row with my OH which has really made me feel unable to relax.

There is so much to do and I feel so tired, I don't know how I am going to keep going.
    An average day in my life:hello: :eek::mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T :o :rotfl: :rotfl: :p :eek::mad: :beer:

    Hi flis!:hello:
    How's you today hun?

    quote=flis21;Ok Tiff,
Have taken your advice and calmed down a bit.
Thank goodness - I thought you were going into meltdown angel! ;)
Actually my physio went really well, he is very pleased with how I am progressing and even said I might be able to go back to work in 2 weeks, when my current certificate expires. Yeah!!
I am allowed to walk at home without my crutches now, which is lovely, but feels wierd. Still have exercises to do tho and have to keep wearing my tubigrip for another week.
That's great news flis!:j You must be feeling a lot better on your own 2 legs, instead of four with the crutches.;) Hopefully all will have healed in a few short weeks hun.

As far as everything else goes. Your right about the whole stress claim thing, not even sure i want to put myself through it. Might leave it for a couple of weeks, until I am a bit calmer about everything else and see how I feel.
That's always a good idea angel. This idea should be on the sidelines for now while you get back on your feet hun (no pun intended!:D ) - you've got enough things to deal with right now angel.;)

The money thing, well I posted a detailed SOA on DFW and between them and CCCS have decided that bankruptcy may not be the right path for us anyway. It does seem that we may be able to pay off our debts ourselves, if our creditors agree to freeze the interest. Anyway, have written off letters to all our creditors and will wait and see what happens.
You'll get through this hun. At least you got a range of opinions. Hopefully, they will see that it's better to freeze the interest and get money back than not and have to write it off. I'm surprised this wasn't done before hun - didn't anyone suggest this to you?

Not sure how Hubby is going to feel about it tho, he was sort of set on the BR thing. This might be a little bit harder, but will be better for us in the long run. Particularly if in a few years we want to get a mortgage or something.
Short term pain for long term gain is great if it works hun. Does OH know what you've done yet? I can imagine people feeling that br is the best way to go sometimes because it neatens everything up, clears the way - though I know it's not an easy option.

Anyway, with all this stress I have hardly eaten anything at all today, so hopefully scales will be kind. Will come on and let you all know how I got on when I get back from weight watchers.
love n hugs to you all.
    Flis
I'm not surprised you haven't eaten hun - but that's a :naughty:. If you don't look after yourself properly, how can you feel well enough to deal with everything? I hope you are eating properly hun. If you miss too many meals you'll end up being a fainting flis! ;)

    I saw your sig angel - see - 1 and 1/2 pounds off! :j :T
I hope you don't start starving yourself on weighing day ok? That's a case then of short term pain, long term disaster.;) I'll go now and let you get on with your exercises. Take care hun.hug.gif

Hi sorry, posted this ysterday under "Credit Cards" but might be more relevant here?

Well I'm having a rough time at the mo what with life in general and my dad's illness in particular. I had a massive panic attack on the M6 while driving on business a couple of weeks ago and haven't been back to work since. Dr has signed me off sick with "anxiety" and I'm on anti-depressants and valium...

My boss is deeply unsupportive and sent me a letter threatening me with disciplinary procedure because (due to the bank holiday weekend) my sick cert only got to him today. I get only SSP, no company sick pay.

If this goes on much longer, my CC payments will be in jeopardy. The ones I took out after joining MSE have no ppi, but a couple of the earlier ones and my mortgage do, which should kick in at day 30 of sickness.

Trouble is, reading the small print today, some of them say they exclude sickness due to "stress-related conditions" unless one is under a consultant psychiatrist (which I'm not). Does that mean they can just not pay out? Will my GP refer me to a psychiatrist purely to satisfy this clause, or do I need to smash a window/jump off a bridge/assault a police officer in order to get one?
Actually the above seem quite reasonable options the way I'm feeling.

PPS My OH is on incapacity benefit so no he can't pay stuff for me

Cottoned on to MSE end July06 - I have seen the light!!!
[blah blah blah} the thing is, if I'm so b***dy brilliant, why am I still broke?

    Hi xjl!:hello:

welcome.gifto the thread hun. I'm sorry things aren't going so well for you angel. Thanks for sharing with us xjl. :T Let's have a look and see if we can break this down...

quote=xjlmummyHi sorry, posted this ysterday under "Credit Cards" but might be more relevant here?
    No need for sorry xjl.;)

Well I'm having a rough time at the mo what with life in general and my dad's illness in particular. I had a massive panic attack on the M6 while driving on business a couple of weeks ago and haven't been back to work since. Dr has signed me off sick with "anxiety" and I'm on anti-depressants and valium...
No wonder you had a panic attack hun, it sounds like you've got more than enough on your plate and that you're trying to stop it all from slipping off the sides! I'm sorry to hear your dad's ill hun.:o
Ok angel, yes you did the right thing in seeing your gp.:T When did you last see him? Has gp asked to see you again angel? Have they suggested counselling or getting you an assessment? I'd ask for one if not hun. This means you'll be assessed by the mental health team and from there, you may be referred to a psychologist, psychiatrist, counselling or a number of other options.
Have you had this before? Do you have any children? I'm not prying but obviously, the more we know about, the more ideas we might have hun.;)

My boss is deeply unsupportive and sent me a letter threatening me with disciplinary procedure because (due to the bank holiday weekend) my sick cert only got to him today. I get only SSP, no company sick pay.
You know what hun - this is actually good because he's been thoughtful enough to give you that in writing.;) If I were you, I'd write a reply angel, keep a copy and then post it recorded delivery. Be nice in it ;) and make sure you answer all his points calmly, with a valid reason.

This may be useful if at some point, things go wrong - you'll have this evidence to show you were co-operating. I'd also say to document everything hun - every phone call, letter etc. that you send or receive. Keep copies of everything. Imho, it is totally unacceptable for your boss to bully you or intimidate you in any way. If he's been genuinely nasty in his letter hun, then you will be able to take action against him later on if it continues. You need support not unhelpful letters angel!

If this goes on much longer, my CC payments will be in jeopardy. The ones I took out after joining MSE have no ppi, but a couple of the earlier ones and my mortgage do, which should kick in at day 30 of sickness.
Your next port of call is CAB hun. They can contact your companies and explain to them what's happened and try and re-negotiate terms with them until you're either in better health or you get more medical referrals/treatment. They could ask the companies to hold off on any interest in goodwill as you have been trying to pay your debts to this point.

It must feel completely overwhelming for you angel. If you feel suicidal at all, please phone your gp and get some help hun. You can call the Samaritans too. In those circumstances, you need urgent professional help hun.

This won't help you now hun, but other people have been in this position and come out of it. With practical problems like debt, there's always an answer to find ok angel? For other issues like your dad, there is support for you hun.
It sounds like everything's hitting you at once and how you're feeling is natural hun. Please don't do anything on the spur of the moment hun.

The ppi may be a longer issue as you may have to wait until you've been referred to a psychiatrist but I think it would be backdated once that had been arranged. If you're ill enough and the assessment supports this, you probably would be referred on angel. Again, mention this to CAB.

PPS My OH is on incapacity benefit so no he can't pay stuff for me
Is OH long term ill hun?
If someone is struggling with very ill health - even solely mental ill health - you may qualify for Disability Living Allowance to help. It's not means tested so you don't have to be married, working etc. It's purely based on how an illness affects your daily life and confirmation by your gp.
It's a huge form and if you send off for it, make an appointment with CAB to help you fill it in hun - this is crucial because you have to be very careful with the wording and they are professionals at this.

By doing all these things hun, you're breaking everything down into manageable pieces which will make it all easier to deal with. So first stop gp, followed by CAB hun. You must be completely honest to your dr about how you are feeling hun. Don't worry, they'll have seen it all before. There is help and support for you angel.;)

The guys on here give fantastic advice hun, so feel free to come on any time - somebody passes through a lot of the time. Keep us posted and take care angel.hug.gif

As I was awake last night, I had a revelation about families (well mine anyway)

They only love you conditionally, you keep in the box and you will be OK. You stray outside you get a row.

I don't mean disciplining kids, that is vital. I am talking about people who are normal and have normal feelings but made to feel wrong for them, if they are outside the box. The happy feelings get spoilt, the ill feelings are given a row. You must stay in the middle, you must not show happiness or be in a bad mood! You are wrong for being a human being! Yet we can shout and criciticise but you can't.

I cannot respect them anymore for this conditional love they give me.

I am nearly 43 and I don't need my family telling me how to be.
