I am hoping to go back to work this week *fingers crossed* even though they have informed me they already have cover for me this week
Work are being a bit funny about it, asking if I have a letter from my consultant giving me permission to return to work, then my manager tells me she isn't sure what to do and is now waiting for advice from the area manager. Grrr! I just want to get back.
The dizziness/nausea/anxiety hasn't gone away. i spent most of the Easter weekend in bed. If I lie still and in the dark it's OK. I've tried Rescue remedy and travel sickness tablets but that hasn't made any difference. I think I should make a Doctor's appointment. I can't go on like this for much longer.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

Hi rbk!
How are you today hun?

I know you must be feeling frustrated hun but hopefully things will come right regarding going back to work. Employers have to be very careful hun, that's all. There's no point in taking on too much and ending back up at square 1 angel.;)
Due to the holidays, everything has been backed up so don't be surprised if it's not until Friday or even next week before you get to go back. Stay calm about it angel. Soon you'll be wishing you had some time off!;)

Even though it's not what you want to hear hun, if you're feeling this poorly you may not be well enough to work this week anyway.
Time for you to see gp as these symptoms have carried on - that's your first job of the week ok angel?
You may be anxious due to how poorly you're feeling hun. If you go to work with these symptoms and then have to come out on sick leave again, both you and work may get upset. No point going back until you feel well hun. Keep us posted.
Much Love,

Hi Tiff,
Diet is going well, weigh in tonight, so fingers crossed. But as I lost so much last week, I have been warned that I might not lose much this week. But i was very good all weekend, resisted the chocolate. Went out to lunch yesterday with my mother in law and, despite being in a lovely bakery, I had a ham salad!!
I've got Physio this afternoon, fingers crossed will be good news. I have been practicing walking with just one crutch and I am hoping he will tell me I can start walking like that all the time. A small step (no pun intended!) forward would be good.
Been doing a lot of reading, Hubby bought me the new Alexander McCall Smith book for easter (instead of chocolate, aren't I good?!) so have my head stuck in that.
Had a bad nights sleep, don't know why. A couple of nightmares, ended up getting up at 5.30, as just couldn't stand being in bed anymore.
I am looking into taking a creative writing course. I really enjoy reading so much, I would love to have a go and see if I am any good at writing. I remember really enjoying writing short stories and things at school.
Anyway, have a great day everyone.Sorting my life out to give a better life to my:heartsmil 2 gorgeous boys :heartsmil0 -
This is a bit of a strange question, but I was wondering if anyone had made a claim against a company / previous work for causing or making their depression worse?
I had a real breakdown when I worked at my previous employment, mainly caused by new management. 4 of us ended up signed off with stress / depression. I am thinking about suing them for the undue stress and making my depression worse. I have a friend who worked there at the time who is prepared to be a witness to what happened.
Am a bit worried tho about having to go back over what was the worst time in my life, might be quite upsetting?
On the other hand I know that if I succeeded, the damages payment would seriously help my debt situation, which I mainly got into when I had to leave that job and take a much lower paid one.
Sorry, just thinking out loud on here really.Sorting my life out to give a better life to my:heartsmil 2 gorgeous boys :heartsmil0 -
Hi ltd!:hello:
How are you hun? I hope you enjoyed the holiday.;)
I'm afraid I'm guilty of over-thinking sometimes.
It can make you over-sensitive which means that sometimes you see a problem where there isn't one.
It was just a few thoughts that occurred to me as I was reading your story hun. Maybe the homesickness was due to being away from your safe places.
I also thought that maybe you felt like that because you had no control over very much while you were away, that you find it hard to switch off. If you can't switch off, you can't relax and enjoy yourself. Maybe home and work is where you feel you can have a certain amount of control. And that feels safe to you. Does that make sense to anyone?!:o
Or am I over-thinking again?
You had bullying that stopped and once you started to achieve things academically, you made friends and were popular. This made you feel even better about yourself, and rightly so.:T The more you took on, the more you succeeded, the more friends you gained, the better you felt about life, especially after the bullying and the effect on your self-esteem.
So maybe you've come to equate happiness and being popular with pushing yourself, achieving and succeeding and being in control?
If you're in control, things are less likely to hurt you. But it puts an incredible amount of stress on you. No-one can control everything that happens in their lives and that doesn't mean you've failed in any way.
I guess what it comes down to hun, is that sometimes you have to switch off the thinking and take time to just "be".
If your mind is constantly evaluating and computing possibilities, there's a fair chance that you'll never feel satisfied. More importantly, you could forget that life can be enjoyed just for what it is.
Sorry if I haven't explained this very well angel - they're just Tiff thoughts anyway. If someone works out what I'm saying will you let me know please?:D
I'm no professional angel but maybe this is something you could discuss with a counsellor? Print out what you wrote hun and show it to them.
Anyway hun - catnap time so I'm off.
I bet I've put you and the whole board to sleep with this post!:D
And don't go thinking too much over this post either ltd! It's just a few Tiffy thoughts as I said. Take care hun.
Much Love,

Coming up for air? Dunno what you mean
Everything is going really well, getting very coupley. Wedding won't be before next year, definitely won't be asking her until the end of the year.
