Good evening my lovlies :hello: Apologies for my recent scarcity... don't really have a good excuse, been feeling a bit weird moodwise, think i just needed a timeout. Also work's been hellish. And Tiff's been on at me about the hat fund and neglecting my smartie cupboard shifts
But I have, hopefully, a quiet weekend ahead, so will be around some more.
And it's just as well really - jeez, i turn my back for 5 minutes and suddenly you're all talking about underwear... or the lack of! :rotfl: :rotfl:

flis21, I don't really have anyone whom I can confide in about things. Basically keep it to myself. I know my parents care but I can't talk to them.
That's really bad that you've been waiting over a year for a CPN or someone to come out to your house. Have you contacted them about it? Don't fight this alone hun. Try to get all the help and support that's available (even if it does mean chasing them numerous times).
How is your ankle? Are you still in a lot of pain? I bet it's lovely to have that cast offmuch more freedom. Do you have any idea when you will be allowed to go back to the gym? I forgot to ask, how did you break your ankle in the first place?
Glad to hear you've started the bankruptcy process. I know it must seem very daunting but it's a positive move. How do you feel about it?
How was the cinema? Hope you had a lovely time with your Mum.
Those non-paying bidders on eBay are a pain in the !!!! Keep sending them reminders.
Hi RBK,
I can't really talk to my parents or other half, but knowing that they are there and that they care does help and prevents me from doing to myself what I would otherwise be tempted to do.
I have given up on the CPN thing really, I think if they were going to do something it would have happened by now. Might mention it to my GP next time I go tho. (Was never given contact number for the CPN).
Yes ankle is still quite painful, mainly stiff and achy now. I had the cast off on Tuesday and have been referred to physio, but not sure how long that will take!! I have some exercises to do in the meantime to help get it moving. It is nice having the cast off tho, particularly when I go to sleep. The doctor said I could go back to work in 2 weeks, but am really worried whether my ankle will be up to it, will just have to wait and see I spose.
How I broke it in the first place? Really silly, someone was giving me a lift and dropped me off in the bus stop near my house. It was cold and raining, so instead of walking around the path I decided to cut across the grass verge to get home quicker, I slipped on the mud and came down full weight on my ankle, which twisted and I heard a crunch. (That sound will haunt me forever!)
The bankruptcy thing is really scary and I hate the 'stigma' of it. But it will be such a relief to have the weight of this debt taken off our shoulders and stop having people chasing us all the time and coming to the door. I no longer answer my front door, all my family know to call first if they are coming round so I know to open the door.
Unfortunately didn't end up going to the cinema, Mum is a bit skint as well, so we just went to hers and watched a DVD instead. It was still nice tho.
Yes non paying bidders on ebay are a pain, they are both newbies tho, hubby thinks they are just kids messin about on there. Am giving them the benefit of the doubt for now, but it is really annoying as I could really use the money at the moment.
Sorry, didn't mean to write an essay. Anyway, off to my mother in laws for dinner today, which should be really nice and means I don't have to cook, yeah!

I was declared bankrupt five years ago now and at first it was hard - the stigma and that but then I started to get angry at apologising for it. Yeah so I was bankrupt- nothing that I intended, so I made mistakes - doesnt everyone ! People dont realise there are millions of reasons for becoming bankrupt- and frankily its none of theire business and the shouldnt be so judgemental ! So dont be ashamed there are worse things in the world- your NOT a criminal just a human being who mabye made a mistake or two- havent we all..NO one really knew I was bankrupt and really to everyone else your just the same but a bit less pressured. When I think of all the people who kill themselves because of money problems I feel really sad because its not worth it- the companies who you owe money to are insured and get it back- its not worthruining your life over ( this was a point that was made to me & made me feel better ).
The good news is you do get your life back and I now have just got my switch card - after 2 years probabtion with an electron and the bank manager says he will give me a mortgage once I have a regular income. I never thought that would happen and you will eventually feel like a huge weight has lifted from you- it most certainly will help your depression.0 -
Hello everybody
Thanks for the good wishes for yesterday.
Strange day - the service before us was for someone who was a member of a "Wild West society". We did not know that so were a little puzzled when several "Gunslingers" in stetson hats, frock coats etc turned up en masse.
One of them looked like Wyatt Earrp! In fact several of them did!
When we eventually went to our ceremony the hymns were not really traditional and surprising in the context. Somehow "all things bright and beautiful" and "morning has broken" are not what most of us expected.
Sermon was about how even a "cracked pot" could be useful - despite our imperfections we are valued - I presume was the message.
Unfortunately the deceased was a bit of a "inventor" and the term "crackpot" tended to be what those attending misheard for a second or two!
DH had a struggle to keep from laughing and we emerged from the serviice rather stunned!
Decorum prevailed , but I told DH that if I went first and was described as a "cracked pot" I would come back and haunt him!
Glad that we and two of our daughters went and that we managed to track down a couple of his other childhood friends and their wives.
A very odd day.
Hugs to all."This site is addictive!"

Glad you enjoyed spending time with your Mum watching a DVD
How was dinner at the MILs? Do you get on well with her?
elona, It doesn't sound like it was your 'average' kind of funeral. Nevertheless, I hope that it went as well as it could do.

Aaaaaaw thats sweet RBK
How are ya?
Little words from me ...
Open up the doors
Open up your dreams
Follow the path upon which were given
And give the make believe
Hope, Faith
Follow your soul
We are all one and
for each one we carry on
We struggle through
each day becomes its toll
In the end we realise
we really arent alone
Sometimes we lose friends, family
the people we love come and go
People give up, people give in
And we can not see us ever winning
Each one of us needs time
Someone to show us the way
That special bond between others
That helps us on our way
Professionals can do so much
Yet its us that has to put the work in
Struggle, Battle, can the fight be won?
But I as sure tell you we are never done
The pain, anger, sadness
So hard to comprehend
Wrenching deep inside
For which one of us will it take to confront
this and no longer hide
We will all get there
No matter where we are
Where we have been
We are all each to are own
And have soo much to gain
So take each day in your stride
Do not rush, do not worry
You have friends on your side,
Family at hand
and with all this beside you
You will never have to fade
huggles, cuddles and even wuggles to all

Hi guys!:hello:
Hope we're all well?
Just a Tiff reminder (only because I was still awake to do it! ) that you need to put your clock's forward one hour this morning. That's right guys - you'll get up at 7am tomorrow and you'll feel like it was 6am!:D :rotfl: I'm sure you've all done it already, but just in case.;)
I spent most of yesterday sorting and tidying things and putting things in boxes, (exciting huh?! ),
and kitchen cleaning. Sometimes I think there's just too much glamour in my life!
Anyway, summer is now officially here - so everyone in their swimming cozzies in the garden at 11am for sunbathing!:rotfl:
Errmmm - I may be a little late so start without me!
Hoping Sunday will be kind to all of us.
Much Love,

it was incredibly painful. No I couldn't move once I had fallen. Spent about 10 mins on the ground. Shouted out help a couple of times, but where i was no one could see or hear me. Then managed to get my mobile phone out of my bag and call my husband. He called my parents and they all came and got me. Dad and hubby had to pick me up from the ground and carry me to put me in the car, then they drove me to hospital. It was quite scary tho lying there in shock and pain.
Dinner at MIL's was lovely, I get on with her really well, we are actually quite alike. (I am sure that implies something freudian about my hubby!!). It was nice spending time with her and just chatting and stuff. She has a lot of money problems as well and is actually contemplating bankruptcy now she has retired as well, so she knows a lot of what we are feeling about the whole situation.Sorting my life out to give a better life to my:heartsmil 2 gorgeous boys :heartsmil0
