Like I said earlier a fairly dull day. Are these viewers being sent to wind us up. Either full of BS (which is really getting my goat) and doing nothing or simply not interested (fair enough).
The kids were loud again tonight from 6.30 to 7.30pm. It is dark and cold in their garden and they scream like banshees. They were out last night doing the same till 9pm. I am terrified they will put off a viewer. I don't need aggro with a neighbour just now as we haven't sold. I thought this would be more of a problem when the clocks go forward and happen when it gets lighter in the evenings. We know they don't get home till 6pm and the most likely time for them to do this is between 6.30 and 7.30pm in the term and up to 9pm sometimes. I haven't heard them since October but it has been two nights in a row. I wonder how much more sabotage we have to take.
Just a couple of our different forms of torture we are having to endure and here is me thinking this year would be better, but it's sh*te.An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:

jamiebraund wrote:i this is my first post on this board, i've been feeling really down lately so had a look on the internet to find out the symptoms of depression and as you can guess i had quite a few, went to the doctors yesterday and explained everything to him and he gave me some tablets to take but i would really like to speak to someone professional so i can find out whats making me feel depressed.
the doctor told me to come back in 2 weeks but do you think thats good enough just giving me tablets and saying go away?
Hi jamie!
Well done for going to the doctors hun. While t'internet can throw information at you jamie, sometimes it can conflict and it needs a professional to make the diagnosis.
I don't know if you've had depression before hun or any mental ill health, but everything usually starts with your gp. He is the first professional in the chain, so don't just dismiss him as a prescription filler. What he has done seems reasonable - pretty normal routine to start with. So no hun, he's not just dismissed your problems. You have to take it all a step at a time. You'll go back and he'll reassess you again and take it from there.
The gp might not have seemed to be doing much hun but he's given you medication. Now that'll take a little while to kick in. This is normal procedure for gps to follow. My advice would be to wait and let the meds settle into your system. It's good that he wants to see you in 2 weeks - this means he's monitoring your progress jamie. You could mention to him then, about needing to talk to someone.
He will refer you - or you can ask him to refer you - to the variety of help that's available, hun. This includes counselling. Depression is a bit like a chameleon - it changes for different people imho. If you need to talk, you can call SANE or MIND or Samaritans or many other agencies.
Professionals, be they counsellors, psychologists or psychiatrists are probably not going to be able to tie everything up in a little package for you angel & say 'Here you go, this is what's wrong with you and this is the reason why.'
I don't want to discourage you hun at all,but it takes a while to get to the point that you have problems that have built up, - and it's going to take time too to undo it all. The hardest thing about depression imho is that it takes time, it's a journey and not an easy one. But it's a necessary process.
We all want answers jamie and want to be better now - but that's not usually possible. I just want you to be prepared for any eventuality. You've done the right thing so far hun so try and let the system kick in with whatever support's suitable for you. Keep communicating with them and take whatever help is offered to you hun.
I hope you'll be feeling better soon hun.
Much Love,

Hi Ethel :hello:
I'm fine. Work is a bit dull, nothing to get my teeth into. Things are still going really well with 'R' - I think I've had 3 nights at home in the last 2 weeks :blushing:
Hope your daughter get the help and treatment she needs and your life continues to improve.
