    Hi guys!:j
    How are you all guys?
I honestly don't know where to start!
The whole computer tower 'blew' this morning! I sat there on my hall floor and didn't know whether to laugh or cry!!! Even more frustrating as I'd managed to get through the catflap yesterday.

So basically I was so terribly ticked off and so determined - and needing it too - to get online, that I went with what savings I'd got and my disability money off to Currys and bought a new PC with Vista loaded on it.

Back home by 1.30pm - also armed with every extension cord in the western hemisphere! Tell me I've got to sit on the hall floor - hah!!!:D  - and I started to put everything together.

Electricity jumped into Frankenstein (new name for computer, though I might change it to Bob! ) about 2 hours ago and I started to set up t'internet.;)

I don't know what I did in a previous life to deserve all this bad karma but I'M SORRY!!! -

I have just spent an hour on the phone with the ISP's tech dept (which is an 0800 number!:j ) after finding out that their equipment doesn't work on Vista - they're working on it though! :rotfl:

LUCKILY, I mentioned that I had a wireless router from another company that I'd never used and he checked out the model to see if it would work with their company and as you can see, here I am!:j :j :j Apparently now, I need never disconnect from the t'internet - permanently logged on! mwaahaahaaaa! :D

I cannot tell you how tired I am guys - and I must go now - sorry.:o DS just in - both of us hungry. Hopefully, I'll be back in the morning.
But I wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you all and sending Tiffy huglets to all of you. :A

Gill, the thing is, with counselling you are bringing things to the surface in order to work on/through them. So it's natural to be confronted with strong feelings of one kind or another. In fact it's a good thing, although I know it doesn't seem like it at the time. You may have analysed yourself on the conscious level (I know I wore myself out doing the same :o), but a lot of these things we bury in the subconscious, so most of the time we aren't even aware they are there. Y'know what I mean hun? Counselling provides a way of accessing them and dealing with them, so we can move on.

I totally understand you not wanting to go next week, because of your exam, please forgive me but I kinda felt strongly I wanted to say you should stick with it after next week. Sorry hun, I'll shut up now! :o:)

    Much love,

    Hi and thanks,

I will do the other sessions - I just know that if left unguided, I would waffle on about stuff forever and nothing would change. Me saying stuff I already know isn't changing anything. And I only get 3 more sessions. I just can't see a lightbulb moment occurring in that time. And there are far more deserving cases lined up.

At least I'm out later - need a bit of enjoyment.
    Just hope this headache abates.

Love to you sazzy and the others

  • Awww Carol (((HUGS))) I hope you manage to have a lovely time tomorrow. xxx

(((HUGS))) to Tiff. It sounds like you've been having a tough time recently. You're so clever setting up the new PC and the internet :j Try to get some sleep hun. xxx

Gillette are you receiving CBT atm? Does your counsellor ask for feedback at the end of each session? Have you found that it has helped you at all? xxx

Woohoo! I'm normal! Gotta go tell the cat.
  • I do worry about feelinggood. She never comes onto MSN and I sent her a txt last week with no reply. If anyone has heard from her could you PM me just to let me know she is ok. She was always threatening to leave us but now she has totally cut herself off and I feel sad about that.

As do I, her last post was in MSE Arms asking how to close her account, she said that there were people who had beaten her, I dont know who those people were. She had a lot of issues and I for one hope she has sorted them out because she suffered a lot.

I hope that she is ok, she was crying for help in some of her posts, I only hope she did something positive :)

    Hi Guys,

This is my first time on the site and i could do with some advice. I'm not sure if i'm in the right area but you seem approachable.

I'm 45yrs old and in the last 18mths my marriage of 24yrs ended. We lost our home due to creditors. We were both declared IVA status and on the sale, with no equity for either of us, we both walked away debt free, no marriage and no home, never mind no self respect or dignity. I was off work for over a year and almost committed due to suffering a mental breakdown. I considered suicide on numerous occasions but cannot do it because of what it will leave behind. Is it possible for me to attempt to get money back from the banks and credit card companies whose extortionate charges over a period of a number of years were a contributory factor to us becoming IVA status.

If anyone can help i'd be most grateful.
