Hi CCStar!
Just read your posts yesterday..may I offer the following?...
The bottom line that holds a marriage long term is respect.
From what you say, your husband clearly disrespects you. You are absolutely right to be angry about this.
He is not going to change his attitude and behaviour towards you unless you give him a compelling reason to do so. He needs to conclude for himself that he is going to lose you...unless he treats you with respect pronto.
Here's how, sister!..
1. Upgrade your appearance. Get a sassy modern haircut. Dress smart, even around the house. Wear perfume and make-up if you don't already.
2. Be generally unavailable when he might expect you to be around. You have a great life outside apart from him. If he asks, be vague about what you are up to.
3. If he persists with disrespectful behaviour, calmly tell him what the consequences will be if there is a repeat and ensure he experiences the consequences if necessary.
Using another person to meet your emotional needs ("emotional dependency") is commonly mistaken for love. Sister, you do not "need" this man...in fact he is lucky to have met a woman as wonderful as you.:j0 -
