I've had the chop - I sulked for a bit after they sent me a snotty 'you gave a bad answer' email (which was later rescinded with an apology) so was barely on in the past 2 weeks, I'm guessing that's why. Am sure I'll be back though. If it doesn't move, eBay it until it does

No one has 'had the chop' as such, they are just on hold until the traffic picks up0

I suspect the hold is due to amount of activity and quality ratings... just a guess. Or it might be completely arbritary.
It's not last in first out though, I've only been on 2 weeks but pretty much on 100% ratings and have logged a lot of hours... don't know how I escaped but I'm glad, because I enjoy it. Really hoping it picks up and hoping the ones that are left step it up, because I've seen some appalling answers in the history.0 -

To be honest I can't see chacha lasting much into the new year in the UK at least. The business model works in America (whether it be the stereotype of laziness, poor mobile data networks, lower smartphone takeup), but I think people in the UK would sooner look for their own answers. I know I would, I asked chacha a very simple question (who is Manchester United's leading scorer in history) The reply came back "Wayne Rooney" which is of course wrong, a quick look on wikipedia would give the correct answer very quickly (Bobby Charlton). I for one would not pay for something as bad as that when I could find the answer by the time I typed a question to chacha.0 -

It's definitely activity in my case, I've not logged on for over two weeks and had quality at 99-100% every week but packed it in due to the insulting rate of pay per hour.0 -
They have removed my role too! Only got the email this morning. Am really annoyed as have put in loads of hours and have made £38.
What happens to the money Ive made? Will it be paid on 20th even though its under £50? Im 9 months pregnant at the moment so was really relying on it and have worked hard to get it :mad:0 -
As ive said on there forum if your a popular bee then your if your not then your out but there claiming lack of traffic so basically no money but the day befo re they paid over 300 quid in rewards to one guide so basicaly imo opinion and im no alan sugar theyve got idoits trying to run a business who shouldnt even be left to run a lemonade stand at a fun fair. They did !!!!!! all marketing there grand plan was word of mouth and web based adverts on blog's erm if your on the net anyway why waste 12p when you coud find the answer yourself. They sent everyone tshirts in the hope everyone would wear one outside the house. Then as a last ditch attempt to get there marketing going they sent everyone pens walets and cards again splashing the cash when they penny pot was empty. if you took there business model to dragons den theyd be laughed out the door. Then every weekend they had bonus weekends yet more money wasted. And finally the activation contest's have they never heard of sim cards for free off the net with free credit. So basically they pretend to be customers but they anit coming back again another complete failure wasting more money out of the penny pot.0

In English...
As I've said on their forum, if you’re a popular bee then you’re in, if you’re not then you’re out but they’re claiming lack of traffic so basically no money but the day before they paid over 300 quid in rewards to one guide. So basically, in my honest opinion, and I'm no Alan Sugar, they’ve got idiots trying to run a business who shouldn’t even be left to run a lemonade stand at a fun fair. They did ****all marketing, their grand plan was word of mouth and web based adverts on blog's (erm??). If you’re on the net anyway, why waste 12p when you could find the answer yourself? They sent everyone t-shirts in the hope everyone would wear one outside the house. Then, as a last ditch attempt to get there marketing going, they sent everyone pens, wallets and cards - again splashing the cash when their penny pot was empty.
