TKP could you possibly post a quick summary of your spinach pie? It sounds yum! I think it is spinach turkey and feta? Thanks?!

    Hi all,

This is week 2 planning and like others also have non OS food to use up so the menu is a combination until I get in to the swing! Also think gradually weaning my lot off non OS food may be more successful.

Menu plan worked well last week but realise from others that it not a sin to have 'easy nights' when I am working (mon-fri) so am aiming to try and batch cook for the freezer instead of storing stuff in there that is too good to go in the bin although usually seems to get there eventually.

Mon - HM chilli and rice, mild version for them and a hotted up version for me.

Tues - Chicken in sauce with pasta (with hidden veggies)

Wed - Beef curry with rice and nan bread (again hotted up for me)

Thurs - Chicken lasagne from the freezer (made last week) with veg

Friday - Spaghetti bolognaise (plan to double up)

Saturday - Sausage and mash with cabbage and carrots

Sunday - Full English as requested by DS2 and dining out in the evening (courtesy of M&D)

Puddings are fruit yoghurts jelly and icecream as all the pies and made desserts have gone. Think I may have a bash at some HM cookies too.

We all take packed lunches so that is 20 per week!

    Good luck

Mine and DPs main meals for the week, using mainly what we have in

Corned beef stew, dumplings, fresh baked rolls
Chinese style chicken curry with rice
    Lasagne and garlic bread
    Beef stew with yorkshires
    Sausages, chips and beans
Turkey with something for him, prawn curry for me
    Toad in the hole
    Roast beef dinner

Kids dinners sorted, they don't have same as us usually but have enough in for the week, veg with above depends on mood each day, have quite a bit in but veg delivered on Thursday aswell with eggs. Only buying as I need bits and pieces this week, don't need a huge shop.
One day I might be more organised...........

we've had some great reductions from sainsbury's near us. fruit & veg & salad bags down to 10p. loads of stuff for under a quid. this was just before closing on a sunday as they are not open for 24 hours. unfortuately we don't live close enough to this branch to go regularly.
