  • I didn't do a plan for this week as we were away til Tuesday so have just had whatever I've had available. Tonight we had a lovely veg risotto from stuff lurking about. Tomorow is lasagne for 7 as we have family for dinner, again all stuff we have in cupboards or mum bringing with her and I'm making some garlic breads to go with it. Next weeks I have done this afternoon:

    Mon: Tuna Pasta
    Tue: Toad in the Hole
    Wed: Fish Pie
Thur: Frying Pan Pizza (feb issue good food recipe)
    Fri: Chicken Paella
    Sat: Chicken Pops and Chips
    Sun: Roast Dinner

My entire weeks shopping list is tuna, cheese, washing liquid, eggs, yoghurts, chicken pops and baked beans. Milk comes via milkman and I have a loaf in freezer as well as ingredients to make more bread. Should keep in budget for next week too, yay!

PENNY-PINCHER!! how did your OH manage to get so many bargains from Sainsbury's? I've found reduced stuff in there but never for 10p & 20p! Is there a particular day/time when they reduce things down to pennies? thanks, Flymouse

    Mine started yesterday:

Saturday: sea bream, mushroom & potato bake (from return of the naked chef)

Sunday - Chicken fajitas - no guacomole & 0% fat greek yoghurt instead of sour cream

Monday - Salmon marinated in soy sauce & honey, with noodles & veg stirfry

Tuesday - Mushroom risotto, without butter & only a teeny bit of parmesan cheese.

Wednesday - Some kind of turkey breast/tomato/pasta concoction (only me to feed as OH at work)

Thursday - HM tuna burgers. Will have a go at making the buns myself on the dough setting on the BM.

Friday - Something with pork fillet - probably stirfry with whatever veggies leftover.

I'm doing a Store Cupboard Challenge this week so some of my meals include pre-bought sauces :o that are OS only in the fact that I'm using them up rather than chucking them!! We don't plan what day we're having what, just make sure we have enough meals for the week. So here's our 8 for this week:
    • Chicken breasts in HM Tomato, Onion and Garlic sauce, served with Garlic Red Potatoes and frozen veg
    • Salmon fishcakes served with oven chips and frozen veg
    • Pasta with buttered garlic mushrooms
    • Chicken in shop bought (Country French) sauce, with frozen veg and garlic red potatoes
    • Chicken Pasanda (shop bought curry sauce) with Basmati Rice
    • Scampi and chips with frozen peas
    • Lasagne (will make 4 portions and freeze 2)
    • Sausage Casserole (will freeze leftovers)

Lunches will be sandwiches with tuna mayonnaise, peanut butter _pale_ , cooked tinned meat _pale_ and chocolate spread _pale_ :rotfl:
