I would be interested to know if those Managers who disallowed the purchase are contravening their own rules. I suppose they can sell what they want to who they want in the end.

It is interesting that some managers have been involved, so haven't. So care, some don't. I just spoke to two people -- the chap at the pickup desk, and the lady at the checkout -- both thought it was quite amusing.

It does seem unfair (at the very least) that they do not honour their commitment to customers to sell at 1p in some instances.

It would be interesting if someone (with too much time on their hands) took this up with trading standards. Then again, why don't want to discourage mispricing do we?!

Maybe, but it's a valid point - if you post a too-good-to-be-true bargain on this (or a similar) site, it *will* be exploited by profiteers.

I used to get a kick out of bargain hunting the old fashioned way - running around and checking out the sales on the shop floor, but internet sites like MSE and HUKDeals coupled with the ebay factor have made it all a bit pointless...it's almost always gone before you get there these days

They have taken the Samsung stand off but the Phillips stand is still showing on the site for 1p, Just do a search for "stand" and the Phillips TV stand should be top of the list of results
