So I am back...........jet lag sorted, washing on, cat reassured he wont be left again for a while and absolutely no plans for 2020! Not sure if last thing is liberating or a bit reckless! Anyway back amongst familiar things now and I feel I can get 2020 underway and maybe when i have some plans I can come back and see them written down!

First hurdle......return to work. One thing I do feel is this is probably the year me and The Idiot in Charge may fall out:o

What a weird time this is! We are a self imposed self isolating household of 5 adults and a cat now. A week ago it was just 2 us. The DDs and DD2  plus BF arrived back in UK on Sunday night.They had to eave where they were with 24 hours notice and with flights being cancelled all around them. How they organised to arrive at the same airport withing 50 mins of each other I do not know. However they are here and we are here, in isolation despite being key workers because there was no other way round it. Its the responsible thing to do. Seems like an lot of the rest of the country don't agree or don't believe the need'to maintain distance - madness. Both DDs were quite frankly appalled at the lack of care and flippant attitude to it all - they travel half way across the globe land in the UK and its the first time they feel threatened and vulnerable. They have been criticised by people who have been stock piling food and going  out in crowds, for coming home. They were not in a position to stay where they were so really had no option and have done their up most in minimising the risks to themselves and others and for that I am rightly proud. 
For now we are re grouping and getting on with life. Supporting each other and or friends and family as best we can. We are no longer watching the news we are learning new things about ourselves and each other and we are making sure there is plenty of laughter in the day. OH and I are fortunate in that our jobs are secure although we cannot be there at the moment and we will pick up where we left off with the debt busting when this is all over. For now I am looking forward to having neat book shelves. clean windows and a tidy garden....and maybe OH will finish off some of those bliddy DIY jobs that have been waiting to be done for longer than I care to remember

Good to hear you’re all together and finding stuff to be joyful about even in the midst of the chaos. Take care and stay well and post some pictures of that lush tidied garden
