Doctor comfirmed a nasty flu virus anda chest infection - been cooking it for a week or so so feeel really lousy. Had a quick chat with doc about the 'rock of a gallstone' and she laughed and said that it wasnt going anywhere and to come back to surgery when feeling better to talk about how to proceed. As its not bothering me then I tend not to think about it. Bit like the brain tumour really - no symptons so I am hopeful results will be that it has behaved itself :)

Despite feeling bleurgh have squashed a few frogs ( not the mad frogs I teach !) - part of the 2012 Master Plan think I will have to call that 2012MP from now on! The bit that says if its a 3 minute job then just do it - so today I have done 5 x3 min jobs - Ok took me longer than 15 mins in total but that was because I had problems accessing my online account and had to reset password, get it verified by a very long phone call ( which was why I had put it off in the first place!). Anyway all done now.

Dont get paid till next week - its been 6 long weeks since the last PD and think we will just make it with some clever moving of money, judicious use of CCs and eating combinations from freezer. DD1 dancing fees will have to wait til pay day I'm afraid.

Have listed on 5 things on Eb*y and 2 have sold with plenty of watchers and the others all have watchers too so I am hopeful for a few pounds there. Didnt think there would be any takers as I am selling clothes but I was wrong! Going to have a look at Zapper as we have 100's of feet of book shelving ( literally) thats needs sorting and I CBA listing it all on Eb*y or Am*z*n.

Have started a sort of spending diary - well just a list of what I have spent and where.

2 more things to add to 2012 MP:
    • drink more water
    • learn to use my new phone :o

Phew another frog dealt with - on a bit of a roll here. There something to be said for being laid up with the laptop! On the down side I think the Aga has gone out as the house is feeling chilly. Will have to go and tackle that soon. First yoga class of2012 tonight - had a 4 week break over Chirstmas and NY. Hoping to find some energy reserves to go - feel I could do with good stretch out!

Well yoga class went OK ish. A temporary teacher for the next few weeks and you know what its like when you get use to doing something in a certain way/order. DD2 had to tell me off for being the naughty one at the back:o Anyway have benefitted from a work out and certainly feel as if I have a spike of energy now. Hope it keeps up for tomorrow as I really need to get a grip with the house - much vaccuming and tidying to do. May even munch a few frogs along the way :)

last night the pobty ping went pobty bang:eek:

With a solid fuel cooker we cant do without our pobty ping ( combination microwave oven) cos in the summer our cooker is 'out' so its a handy oven and of course grill.

Spending some time on internet today to find a new one:o

    Never rains but it pours.......................

What was I under the influence of when I agreed to 6 14 yrs old girls and 1 honourary girl, descending on house straight from school for belated celebration of DD2 birthday?! Pizza, leftover Christmas nibbles and fizzy drinks, lots of Wi! games and DVD. OH and I were banished to either kitchen or TV in the bedroom. To be fair all but 2 gone by 11pm.Sleep overs were still talking til 2am but up at 8 tidying up and the DW is on and vacuum has been run round so cant complain!

Once guests have gone todays challenge for the family is tackling clothes. In fact I have delcared this weekend as National Clothes Putting Away Weekend - I am putting up a flyer in the kitchen:rotfl:Oh they are going to hate me:rotfl::rotfl: Seriously need to get a grip with the laundry cycle and keeping on top of it - it takes up too much of my time. I am happy to do it but not at the current level:cool:

    So today the family will:
    • Learn to sort, fold and put away clothes. Put in the charity bag what they dont want and I will sort that for either Oxf*m or Eb*y.
    • They will discover where the laundry basket is kept - easy in large walk in cupboard in bathroom. Were its been all their lives:oHow hard is that?
    • Understand that if its not in in basket it wont be washed
    • WM only goes on on Fridays Saturdays and sometimes Sunday.Any other day has to be negotiated
    • Ironing is not magic ( but I cant watch my OH do it as it makes me wince:rotfl:) Think that stems from his mother ironed everything - yep socks and underwear - and come to think of it washed and put everything away for him too until he was 26.Now I get it..................:rotfl:
Well an NSD yesterday and planning one for today and tomorrow too. Payday not til next Friday and its going to be a long ,long week.Enough food in all bills paid just need liquid gold to get to work. Still working on getting a new pobty ping

Sunday morning weigh in : 13 st 8lbs - no move so quite happy !

Productive 24 hrs at last. Made a large amount of basic curry sauce yesterday and now have 15 portions in freezer along with 2 portions of lamb curry leftover from last night. Also made 2 lots of lamb'doner kebab' loaves which I will slice up and freeze later - taste fab and very easy.Recipe from takeaway Secret. Have managed a swim this morning so have finally met my 100 day challenge- I will update on that thread later. I will do a money round up later today too.Cooking a large joint of pork ( whoopsied) which will be tea tonight and tomorrow a la Economy Gastronomy.

Clothes sort out is a work in progress - DD2 well on top of it. OH keeps finding excuses................. Both have gone to watch local lads play rugby so a couple of hours to myself. Going to do a bit of lurking, fill bird feeders and find the things I have sold on Eb*y which got carefully stored away before Christmas and I cant remember where :)

    Pay day tomorrow!:j:j:j

Six weeks since last one cos apparantly they do us a favour by paying us early for Christmas.:mad:

However this year is the first time in ages we have managed to get this far without resorting to CCs to get us through and robbing Peter to pay Paul for the last 2 weeks. Peter now very grateful BTW :D

    Hi Igamogam

Goodness, your list of plans for 2012 made me need a sit down with a cup of tea. (says the woman who intends to pay off all her debt in 2012,,,how? HOW?) We certainly know how to set ourselves up with a challenge eh? Just wondered if you have seen positive and focused's thread. She's the master of complaining and sounding pleasant as she does it, and has just posted some amazing results to boot. Might inspire you a little.

I loved your idea of National Clothes Putting Away Weekend. :rotfl:Excellent. And I didn't miss the irony of your DD2 doing better than your OH... Since it's just the two of us here, I don't have that particular problem with laundry, just other ones instead (such as I've been out all day at work, OH has done absolutely nothing, I get home and STILL have to feed the cats, cook the tea, clear up the dishes, then OH says 'are you in a bad mood, dear?'. Bad mood just does not sum up what I feel in those moments.)

Ahem, anyway, enough ranting from me.

Any chance you could post your takeaway secret curry recipe up here? I never did get round to buying that book. I seem to have weaned myself off takeaways though. Miraculously. But I'd love to try it. Curried vegetables and quorn. Yum.

Well done on the swimming and yoga too. :T All good stuff.
If you know you have enough, you're rich. ;)
