We are now hitched to the national grid with our solar panels!! All up and running by 4.30pm and made about 0.7 of a kilowatt thing before light faded:rotfl::rotfl:OH very happy as he can spend hours now checking the meters in the shed. We now have to change the way we use the electric - DW WM etc during the day. As we are working I guess this will only happen at weekends and school hols. Going to get a timer switch for DW and WM and the slow cooker will come into its own :)

So how was the interview? All good I hope. It takes a special person to work with those frogs. ;)

Drove over to the other side of the mountain today to catch up with a friend not seen in a long time. Even though on high peaks I could see streaks of white snow in the deep sheltered gullies,Spring is definately in the air. Although the hill sheep dont have any lambs yet I am sure they are not far off. I can feel the energy levels rising and will be glad to see the back of Winter - only because for me it hasnt been a proper winter - I like it cold for as long as possible then it feels like a proper season rather than just one blurry non descript weather pattern after another - all merging into one - bleurgh! I know the winter can bring hardships for some but it seems the natural cycles are all out of kilter. I loved the last 2 winters - long and cold! Just need the other seasons to get their act together and behave like we expect :rotfl: Sometimes winter has a nasty habit of jumping up again and giving us one last nip here - we have a bit of a micro climate, but today was a promise of new things to come :)

Well I didnt get the job although I was their 'second choice'! Person doing the job in an 'acting' capacity was appointed - I wish they would just appoint these people officially if they think they are doing a good enough job - would save a lot of time money and hassle! Anyway I did get some favourable comments which has been good for the confidence - so onwards and upwards and next time I had better make sure I am their first choice ;)

Bad luck with the job interview but very happy you got such positive feedback. I had a similar experience a few years ago, when they already knew they were appointing the acting person, and it was the most odd interview I've ever had, as though they weren't really interested! Glad they were at least nice to you.

We had no pay increase this year either but are waiting for news of one that's supposed to be happening in April. I'm not holding my breath.

Hope your day is all good.

All none DD bills paid today. Looking at car insurance and I think we can find one at least £100 less than renewal quote. Next tackle E.0n to get monthly DD down as we are almost £100 in credit now. Eb*y sales looking good. Maybe March will be a little less fraught and I can look at other things in my life that need changing :)

Just come back from talking to course director/tutors with regards to starting a doctorate later this year................heck my brain hurts now but this was part of the reason as I need to get the grey matter moving again! Academics.............hmmmm................I do wonder which world they live in and sometimes their social skills are a little suspect. With apologies to any academics reading this :) Anyway it was part of the Great Master Plan for 2012 and I have made the first steps so now a lot of thinking to do and get a 500 word proposal written. Also part of the GMP 2012 is also to declutter which will have to happen if I am to to do this doctorate and have some space to think and study without having to move umpteen boxes first - sure its blocking my energy channels:o and its my challenge for March on another thread - all beginning to fit like a jigsaw. So swift panad (cuppa!) and off I go.
