We will be going to Alton Towers, Drayton Manor and Longleat Safari Park this summer, all paid for by vouchers. Dread to think how it would add up if we didn't have the vouchers to change into Deals! Might even pay for some of our holiday days out as well!
Could have paid for our Haven holiday with deals but didn't find it to be good enough and the days out pay better in the long run.
We always use them for Drayton Manor too but just had my vouchers in the post and it is not on the list.0 -

Drayton Manor is still listed under Tesco deals on the website.

I've used my airmiles (eventually!) for 2 flights to New York. (Had to pay £80 tax each, so £160.)
The trouble with airmiles is tho, that they're not worth it for European or internal flights because you can usually get Easyet, Ryanair etc., for cheaper than the tax you would have to pay! But, we kept persevering with them as we already had about 10,000.
So would generally say airmiles are only really worth it long haul, or for booking a hotel treat, as people have mentioned, where you'd get a hotel for "free", but in reality you could get one just as nice and a lot "cheaper" if you paid cash.0 -

Yes, I used vouchers at DM last Friday!0 -
I felt the need to register just to add a point here!
I would be inclined to agree with the people who think sensibly about the points they accumulate.
We have been using Tesco.Com for the last couple of years, as visiting the store would cost the same in petrol as the delivery charge - and we hold a staff discount card too, which helps.
In the two years we have been using the points codes rather than cash discounts;
We have spent £350 on a new mattress from MFI and not paid a penny in cash...
We purchased a £1000 office suite which was in the half price sale - and had £400 in vouchers, so the hundred quid price tag seemed very reasonable, especially seeing as they threw in a 5 year warranty which cost the same as the amount we'd paid in cash!
We've now got just short of £1000 and have our cosmos brochure ready for a decent summer holiday in 2008 (there will be a few more hundred quid to follow in the New Year)
And above all, we accumulate enough vouchers for me take my work shirts to Johnsons to have them washed and pressed for nothing, so try telling me that these deals aren't a good thing!
We don't spend ages searching, we just save a few decent and reliable pages, sign up for the right brochures, use the quarterly points vouchers and till spits that are useful to us - and this is what we've got in return, all for nothing more than what we would have been happy to pay in the first place.
We bank our codes on both of our .com pages, we both hold seperate clubcards and we always stick to our budget. It's such a shame to hear people complaining about something good. We have enjoyed the benefit and will continue to do so whilst they still exist. :j
Cheers,

I tend to rack them up on the free toiletries on the handb leaflets 50points a go,so i can use a wadful on one trip. Ive had £40 this quater for the same amount of shopping id done last quater and recieved £5! ive treated myself to 2x mag subscriptions and a day out at chesington world of adventures for 5 people (its £29 each otherwise!) so ive had a baragain!!
Can anyone explain what the free toiletries on the handb leaflets are? 50 points a go?0 -
I have to add my penny worth on this issue. I shop at tesco for a family of 4. I don't spend over budget (£400 pcm) but I do scout around for point codes and vouchers (mainly on this site!), and use all till spills I get.
Over the last 2 years I have accumulated enough deals for 2 euro tunnel trips, a day trip for 3 to Legoland, a trip to Madme Tussauds for 4, 2 wrist bands for Adventure island, a magazine subscription, a visit to a local zoo for 3 and currently have over £380 worth of vouchers at home worth over £1500, which is going towards next years summer holiday.
I do still shop else where as well, as am lucky enough to have Asda, Sains, Morrisons and co-op within 7 miles as well as 3 tescos, but limit shops there to small amounts.
I see it as free days out, and holidays, which none of the other Supermarkets can offer me.
Wins hands down.:T
`Save a little money each month, and at the end of the year, you'll be suprised at how little you have.0 -
I'm afraid you very rarely get anything for free. Club cards are loyalty cards, in other words they con you into shopping with them all the time in order to receive club card points that are worth very little. The best way to spend them is actually in Tesco. However you would probably actually save far more by shopping in a cheaper supermarket in the first place.
The free days out are obviously good deals, but as for MFI...........they are way over priced in the first place.0
