Thanks everyone...I never knew it would take off like this and the best thing about it is it's helping other people...I cannot say enough how wonderful and friendly this site is and how I think everybody has got plenty of empathy and advice for everyone...which is just what we all need especially in those lb moments when everything seems so scary...I hate debt being a taboo subject as a close member of my family tried to commit suicide last year(thank god she didn't succeed)...but it was a close call...that's why in my taxi I give out moneysaving tips from here and tell them the web address...and how useful it is...without mentioning the word debt ...then they can come on here and have a look for theirselves...I just hate the thought of people feeling alone...sorry for waqffling!!!0

Sorry I meant to post another tip for anyone with pets...I order at least 3 months on my dogs tablets as I then only incurr one dispensing fee...against 3 this saves another £12..every Quarter so that's another £48 p/y..
Also if you pay for prescriptions and don't buy a pre- pay certificate..don't be afraid to tell your doctor that you pay...mine doubles or triples on medication...saving £6.25 per multiple item
Hope these help somebody..happy moneysaving:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -

so far saved £180 by cancelling sky, only had it for nick jnr taped aload yesterday(only ever re runs anyway) saved £84 per year on cancellin mag subscriptions never have the time to read them anyway it just became a chore. cancelled a life insurance which did the same as the mortgage protection saving £74 per year. Im also selling a load of stuff on ebay, stopping eating out of the chippy need to loose weight anyway sorted wardrobe , i definaetley do not need to buy clothes for anyone in the family for 100 years, stopped doin the lottery never won anyway!!!! and cutiing grocerys to £50 per week for the six of us but have quiet a lot in the freezer to make meals with i reckon weve saved about £2300. per year...any suggestions on cutting our days out budjet??? anyone???
Cut your days out budget and have great family bonding days at the park / the countryside/ the woods or forest. These usually don't cost and you can take packed lunches.:money: You could take a ball or bat and ball to keep everyone fit then you don't need any gym membership , also you won't have any time to watch sky tv ,so that was well cancelled0 -
Just wanted to say a massive Thanks for all your inspiration on this forum. This is is my first post on this site although have been avid reader over the past few months.....
With the inspiration from you all..... I have decided to pack in the Fags - 20 a day! Have written to credit card companies to re-claim my charges back. So am determined to pay off my debts and get myself on the straight and narrow.
Taxi - you really have inspired me to sort out my finances rather than bury my head in the sand!
So here is to me getting them all sorted!
Please keep up the inspriration0
