    Hi, AJ
I'm really sorry that I can't remember whether you're moving from privately rented, rented from council or housing association or your own place! The short version, IMHO
Privately rented is clean enough to get your deposit back
Council or Housing Association: clean enough and nothing left behind that they will bill you for shifting!
Owned: Leave everything that's on the list with the solicitor and all your rubbish out.

And don't forget to take gas and electricity meter readings in both properties and meter serial numbers from the meters in the old place. just to be on the safe side!

From our own place to our own place. Fixtures and fittings are being left along with manuals for appliances, guarantees for boiler/driveway/windows and phone directories. We are part exchanging our house with a new build company and it mentions in the paperwork that they will retain £250 for cleaning and if it is not needed then they will refund in full or refund what is left if not. I am tackling the oven tomorrow as that will be a big one, apart from that everything is ok apart from our living room carpet which has marks on. They didn't come out when we tried to clean it a while ago so hoping my friend's machine will help it but it is just general wear and tear TBH. So long story short just wondering what other people do cleaning wise.

Don't waste your time ironing if it is going to get creased when you pack it. We have just put everything away and I will do a few items a day when we get there until it is done.

Why don't you make him iron his own shirts? :rotfl:

Front and back lawn now mown. Looks much better. We'll never keep up with it ourselves - DH too busy and with my back I can't wield a lawnmower, so we're going to get someone in every couple of weeks. Previously we've been lowering the tone of the neighbourhood.

Off to take furry beast for a walk.

WHY is my Toots list getting longer and longer rather than shorter? I added another 11 things last night!
Mine seems to be doing that, too. I don't understand it.

I wonder if the Lame Wolf household has dried out from last night's doggy bathing?
Ah, the doggy bathing is this afternoon, when we get back from town. So I still have that joy to come. We shall be taking the excellent advice that various Flyers offered last night, moving everything portable out of the bathroom, keeping the door firmly closed, arming ourselves with a plethora of towels.... and working in our underwear!:rotfl:

Right, it's nearly time to head for town, so I must away and fling on some war paint.

    Laters, all.;)
