Let me know how it goes - a camera is always fun!
I am soooooo NOT posting photos of me in my undies!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: It went very well - Ted's obviously used to being bathed, as it's a twice-weekly occurrence for him, and he was fine with Mr LW lifting him in and out of the tub. He was ever so good, letting me shampoo him twice (as instructed), and I kept him occupied with doggy-chocs for the 5 minutes we had to leave the 2nd application on.
Two towels later, we have a dry, if rather fluffy-looking Ted, an UN-wrecked bathroom, and most importantly, Mr LW is still happy to help with the other 3 occasions we have to repeat the process. (Ted's here for 18 days total).:T:T:T:T:T
I think the fact that he's a Border Terrier helps - he has very coarse fur, that doesn't hold onto the water.:o We did get a tad wet ourselves, so stripping down to underwear was a good plan, but all in all, a resounding success!:D

Bookcase filled.. I am now absolutely shattered. I am sure most of the tiredness is down to being in pain.
*Nods sagely* It will be. Trust me, there's nothing saps the energy quite like pain.:( *sends more pain-gone vibes*

Piggers I have to agree with Lamewolf - pain is really draining - energy just leaves you - or, more accurately (IMO) you're using your energy coping with the pain...much like the spoon thing in a way

all ironing done. Am thrilled *insert sarcastic-looking smiley* DS has ensured I will have more soon by *kindly* refilling the laundry bin.

    pots washed
    gerbil food containers refilled
    stuff binned
    cat food stacked
    ironing done
todays laundry brought in and ironed, socks paired

LW.. Glad Ted enjoyed his dipping.. :D .. and you did too by the sound of it! :D My mother has a border and a parsons terrier they are both really coarse fur and so dry quickly.. which is a good thing since they both think they are ducks!

OH unloaded and reloaded the DW
DD3 cleared the table and fed Squeak dessert.. strawberry muller rice.. saved me standing there aching which doing it.. and dining chairs are THE very worst things to sit on at the moment.. after chair arms.. *recalls nasty evil pain from yesterday evening when perching on a chair arm SEEMED a good idea!*

DS3 IS going to be murdered before the week is out I swear it.. he has been sneaking about in my room.. but he was looking for lego apparently.. do I LOOK like I play with lego?

I think Squeak may be the noisiest baby ever lol.. she is sat in the kitchen.. miles away bawling at the top of her voice.. she is so funny.. OH is telling her to stop shouting and she just does it louder lol

  • Evening!

    Well, THAT was fun [/SARCASM].

In view of the wholesale destruction left by the utter scrotebags last week, road closures and diversions for huge demolition and forensic work means that the nearest place a bus could drop us was roughly a mile away from the hospital. I had to frantically remember all the images of my misspent childhood and cut through the back doubles to get there with ten seconds to go before the start of her appointment. Then we walked roughly the same distance in the opposite direction to find a bus that went near home, so a fifteen minute journey took an hour and ten. Luckily, the inbuilt satnav worked fine.

Did you know that birds have a metal named Magnetite in their heads, just behind their beaks, and that is what is credited with their sense of direction? Moreover, humans have it too, but some humans have it more than others? That's right, my next nickname will be Ms Magnetite at this rate - I'm already informed I must be part pigeon by some family members :)

Anyway, her assessment picked up areas of extreme flexibility and areas of stiffness, weakened adductors and - a new one for us, as nobody else has said this - severe flat feet in need of custom orthoses. So she has a referral for yet another specialist! She's just got a couple of exercises this week, and they aren't happy about her numbness/pins and needles in her legs/feet, so they are going to talk to orthopaedics again by next week. However, the repeated pops, snaps and compact nuclear explosions in her spine as she moved were quite spectacular!

Just waiting for Japanese takeaway to be delivered - I think she deserved a whole bundle of sushi for the amount of walking and being poked around she's had today - and then, as there have been

    4 x WM
    1 coffee table degibbled
1 lot of music sorted and filed (a LARGE LOT of music)
    Vacuuming all downstairs
    Bleaching shower room
    Changing shower curtain
    Garden gibble clearing
    Side of sofa degibbling
TV retrieving from loft for Minion
Cat wrangling from the garden over the road
    Vacuum cleaner servicing
    Sides sparkling
    Sink polishing
    Bin emptying
    Box of generalised crap flung
    4 binbags of utter crap
A whole load of used envelopes, flyers, out of date coupons and the like removed

I am sitting in tomorrow and doing nothing other than take painkillers and grumble.

    Oh, and eat.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
