My JSA goes on food, transport to look for work, clothing, essentials....the last time I went out for a drink to enjoy myself....April 28th
I'm angry at how stupid they have been and !!!!ed my life up when I was trying to sort it, find a job, pass my driving test, find a place of my own then find a better job. I have sorted my debts and trying really hard now theres this huge set back when I've kept my side of the bargain paying HB shortfall due to my income and feeding myself.
Would be no different if I rented a room in a house and they didn't pay the rent.
At 26 you aren't officially your parents' responsibility. The fact that they allowed you to come back and live with them when you were stuck doesn't mean they were or are obliged to put a roof over your head.
It's unfortunate to find out like you have, but it's time you thought of yourself as an independent adult and sorted your own living arrangements out. I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe 0 0

OP your parents have not screwed your life up - they have admittedly made things difficult for all of you - but mainly for themselves. You are 26 years old and more than capable of standing on your own two feet. Stop fuming (it' a waste of energy and solves nothing) and do what you need to do.
Find your own place. It will probably have to be private rented shared accommodation, but you will get help with the rent. Things will be tight financially while you are on JSA, but it is doable. Obviously once you find a job it will get much better. Be independent and you will not be at the mercy of your parents future screw ups.
I appreciate that you are upset with your mother's behaviour, but when you complain that their debt problems are ruining your life, you sound like a spoilt teenager throwing a strop, instead of grown woman.0

Tell her that you are going to arrange a meeting, come what may. If she and your Dad come, they come, if they don't they don't. I would suggest you tell them that you are going to see if the tenancy can be transferred to you.
Remind her that if they do nothing, then they are going to be homeless with a month.
If the tenancy was transferred to my name I would receive HB and CTB then they would have to cover the shortfall?0

The chances of the tenancy being transferred to the OP are slim to none (I worked for a HA for two years, so have some experience of this). They would effectively be giving a family sized property (it must be 2 or 3 bedroomed) to a single woman, who they have absolutely no obligation to house.0

I was suggesting the transferring of the tenancy as a spur to get your Parents to come to a meeting. It wasn't meant as a serious suggestion."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". I've had a search for bedsits and studio flats they are certainly rare even more so for those on benefits, so where is the best place to look? I think my LHA is 1 bedroom for £80?
I wonder what happens to all those they have no obligation to house, surely being homeless is the same no matter your situation. Maybe I should get pregnant.0

            Have a look here https://www.spareroom.co.uk/ or https://www.flatmateclick.co.uk/
You would only get the one bedroom rate for a short while.
Why do you think they should be obliged to house if you're capable of renting on you're own?0

 I'm not though am I?
 No job
 No deposit
 Bad credit rating0

As said before you can probably get help with the deposit, and LHA for your rent. It's not the HAs fault you have a bad credit rating.0

Only if you want to screw up your life even more!
Look for a shared flat; the age for claiming LHA for a 1 bed flat is soon rising to 35.0
