I'm backkkkkkkkk....... but it's farr to hot to do anything today. 28' with no wind.

Tesco helpfully delivered my shopping this morning but with no sliced ham or chicken (their chiller cabinets had broken down) and no eggs (i forgot to order any) need to go to the shop and buy it all but pffft the kids don't want to move (and I don't blame them).

someone invent a supermarket that delivers the same day (like iceland but where i can do my shopping from the sofa and they deliver it).

takeaway is out as had that farrr too much this week. And I must not eat any more chips for at least a month.

i don't have any bread, but do have bread rolls.

I have LOTS of potatoes that need eating up, I could make mash but don't want sausages with it as had a bbq yesterday.

I hope you had a good holiday. I wish too that you could order from a supermarket in the morning and have it delivered that afternoon!!

It's that time again, I need to choose another book - after taking 'mini shopaholic' with me today convinced I was only half way through it to realise i had actually finished it.

Found an extract of "confessions of a GP" on my phone google play books app thing that was brilliant and had me laughing all the way to work - but I finished it :(
ohhhh only 99p on amazon for the ebook...........

oh I sware some ebuy'ers just set out to be a PITA.

Sold something (collection only) on Monday evening.
Wednesday they eventually replied to my message saying there would be someone abailable until friday this week xx am- xxam and xxpm - xxpm.

apparently the only day they could do was Saturday (they live 10 minutes away from my house!!!!).
    We agreed on 10am.

Apparently this wasn't convenient - they wanted to stop by while they were out so i said 'ok 5pm'. - no way am i wasting a saturday because someone wants to pick up mid-day. they agreed to this and i sent my address.

fast forward to tonight........ get a message saying they can't do 5pm and will come after 6.
I stated that wasn't good for me as we have tea at 6pm on a saturday.

5pm TONIGHT she sends me a message "my husband is on his way to yours now".
.......................... good job i was in really wasn't it.

Part of me feels like reporting them to ebay (how dare they assume they can turn up whenever they want) - they are a brand new ebayer (0% feedback) - I have nothing positive to say so will not be leaving them feedback and ebay doesn't let sellers leave negs so they can go on to do it to others.

so cross......... will be adding them to my blocked bidder list just incase for future.

I've read (well certainly started) Confessions of a GP. Its a good book. I do like the blog type books that you can get - they are usually a good price too.

ok so that's not quite true but over the last few months I have apparently made a few enemies on MSE and it's not the friendly community it was a couple of years ago. So have taken up roots over on blogger, please follow me over there to keep updated with my progress.

I expect that it's nothing you've done chicky, hope you stick around here too though even if it is less frequent. x
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

A post for my MSE friends (copied from my blog)

If you followed me over on MoneySavingExpert you'll know I've not been around for a while. I keep an eye on my babies (the threads I started/ actively participated on) to make sure everyone is still going well on their projects and love talking to those who are now facebook friends.

I rarely have time to read threads in their entirety and post on them since my blogging took over my life (lol). My diary was the most amazing start to my blogging and I am so grateful for everyone who followed it.

    Cross-Stitch Cafe
I had a chance to venture back yesterday to break some very sad news about a forum member. It was hard for me to give sad news of her death as I felt too far away from her (not an immediate friend/ family) however we knew she had been ill for over a year and I know others on the site were concerned about her as she had been inactive for a while. As the 'owner' of the "cross-stitch cafe", a craft thread, for so long I felt I had a responsibility to arrange a memorial in her memory). I was overwhelmed with the response from everyone and it reminded me why I loved the forum in the first place. And then a post that spoilt the atmosphere appeared and I was reminded why I left.

The tribute FLICKR group has been set up here. You will need to be approved so please let me know if you ask to join and I'll get onto it as soon as possible. You do not need to be a member of the cafe to leave a photo tribute but I do ask you pass me your MSE name too to avoid spam.
p.s. for those who don't recognise it Eeyore has been borrowed from the pictures of Soulie's completed works.

There are far too many cooks in the mix now and aparently my original memorial suggestion isn't good enough so will let someone else take the project over, shoulda known better..................

    £365 in 365 days
I have been asked if I will be reinstating the £365 in 365 days thread next year. This is a challenge I started a couple of years ago where you put £1 in a pot every day for year. You can either start the challenge in December so you have the £365 in time for Christmas shopping or start in January so you have it for the January sales. Needless to say I failed miserably both years by having to open my pot early to pay off credit cards or for the kids to have a bit of extra spending money on holiday. However 2014 will be the year of new house, new me, new spending and LOTS of debt to pay off. I am determined to keep a much better reign on my finances (simple cause we cannot afford any more debt!). I will be running the £365 in 365 days on my blog if anyone would like to join in please let me know. I may even get really technical and make a badge for you to display :).

  • so after my quick flit back it appears SOME people still like (and miss) me :) so for those who do want to keep up with my (currently hellish) life I'll try and post some little updates here. I won't go overboard tho, if you want to read further I'll pop a link to the relevant blog post :)
