will mostly be spending the day writing stroppy letters.
An 8-page (including pictures) complaint to Park Resorts about my grotty holiday appartment last week.
An angry letter to the school who were told twice verbally and once in writing about DS1's absence last month but STILL sent me a letter demanding to know why they had not been informed.
hmmm....... time to look at my finances (ouch) next I think.
Then I need to weigh some things to try and work out ebay postage and re-list some unsold items from last time while it's a freebay weekend.............. all while looking after 2 kids.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
book list updated. Hmmm doesn't seem to be going down very quickly.
Now to go investigate if the toileties have gone down (they must have done I had to buy bubble bath the other day........... at least I hope I did)loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
The Saga of the Park Resorts Holiday.
I won't post the letter I sent but if you read my tipadvisor review you will get the picture. It took 9 pages by the time it was re-written with photos.
I complained when I got home and was shocked (to say the least at the reply). Without posting it all:
"Having investigated your complaint, I believe you contacted Facebook regarding the money off vouchers in Reception we do advertise discounts off local attractions. We do have check-in signs that are pointed to the check-in. We have undergone revised training with the cleaning staff to ensure that all the accommodation is cleaned to a high standard. The outside of the apartments have all had a refurbishment and a shale path laid to number 1, so the mud does not carry everywhere. The light bulbs can blow at any time, I do hope that they were replaced and in working order. The cooker is in full working order. Thank you for considering other guests. The swimming pool we are constantly looking to improve." (unfortunatly yes I have copied and pasted this bit...... isn't it appalingly written)
"In response to hair on plate, the Catering Manager assure me that apologises were made and meal was offered to be recooked but we were informed that you were in a rush. I can only apologise once more that we were unable to rectify this.
When meals are taken out to tables my team let the guest know that if they require any more condiments (i.e. sauces) then just to ask and they will bring them to you. The sauce pots can only fit a certain amount in and if it’s a large family then it probably won’t be enough. Sauce pots are always topped up during the quieter times. "
Now if you have read my review you will also question:
- how can a cooker with 3 out of 4 dials be in "full working order"?
- if my food has been offered to be recooked and I had said i was in a hurry I wouldn't have complained - the fact both these facts are untrue leads me to believe it has happened on more then 1 occasion.
- a shale path had not been laid (see picture evidence)
- yes lightbulbs can blow......... it should have been replaced before our stay or at least before the end of it.
- the cleaning team may have had training - just a shame they cannot put it into practise.
So like all good MSE'ers - I found the email address for the CEO and sent the complaint, reply and my comments to the reply to him. basically stating that they may now be recified but they weren't during my stay and the attitude and content of the letter is basically calling me a liar.
He has read it and replied apologising and letting me know the reginal manager for that park will be in touch.
I informed in my 2nd letter that I shall expect a response in 14 days before alerting ABTA and the food hygene authorities.

I've got my aunty's present for xmas already - a gift set I bought in b0 ots in January with 75% off plus I also bought a notepad/shopping list set from book club at work for her too so that's her definitely sorted. For my niece, she's getting a lip gloss set that I picked at a raffle. I don't have a use for it and that will save a few pennies.chickywiggle wrote: »Chicky MUST MUST MUST try harder.
My spend diary - May 2013.
I tried to keep track last month and didn't do too badly although I was over £70 out because of cash spends so this month I'm trying to keep track of all my spends including cash. I'm keeping track in my diary (good housekeeping one) as it has special pages for money stuff :T
Its been one of those days today (and I'm in one of those moods) so I've just sent a sarcastic e-mail to Mr T as they have kindly e-mailed me to tell me about their delivery what not except I already subscribe and therefore can't take advantage of the half price offer. whats annoying is it renewed a few weeks ago and i haven't shopped with them yet !0 -
GRRR I got one of those tesco things too - it's like rubbing salt into the wound isn't it - they should be able to tell who already has a subscription and not send it to them.
must admit i love having my shopping at the weekend (but if Mondays were included in the midweek one then i would switch)
I complained last week cause it was out of slot (EVERY week near enough it is out of slot) and got a £6 refundso for the sake of an email every time it's late I'm going to complain. Will get my delivery saver paid for me at this rate.

OHH I LOVE Poundbakery.
Normally I pay £1.60 for a ham salad oval bite in Greggs. Today I got a ham salad baguette in Poundbakery for......... £1 and I would say it was as good if not better.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
***tesco clubcard rant****
SINCE WHEN was this in their T&C'sThanks, please note you are using less than the full value of your vouchers. As you'll lose this unused amount, you may prefer to top up your basket or remove one of your vouchers.
Was wanting to get DS1 the lego batman duvet cover (on offer at £13.50).
In the past if I used my clubcard vouchers then any remaining amount was put back on my clubcard account to be rei-ssued in the next batch.
e.g. if I want to exchange for Prezzo (currentlyon £10 for £40) the T&C's state:1. Simply select the amount of Clubcard vouchers you want to exchange using the basket on the right. Any change left over will go back into your Clubcard Account.
So it appears its different rules for exchange then if using to buy.
well it's scuppered it for me as I had a £10, £6 and 50p voucher and no way am I loosing £3 (but neither should I have to put the £3 towards something I have enough points to buy).
also their clubcard exchange states you can double up on toys but not homewere. Well if you look at the crumb trail for it they are in the toys category - but I bet tesco won't honour it!!!loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -

Grrrrr. As you know, I'm none to pleased with them at the moment either. I've reluctantly got my shopping coming today as I am running out of many things ! They replied to me and it was basically sorry but tough luck.0
