Oh I like those...they'd be fab as tree decorations if you used red/green fabric and metallic thread.

I found a site with step by step instructions too!

Excuse to do x-stitch - Hubby says 'I'm going to bed, are you coming?' My reply - 'Not now, i've got to finish......(whatever I'm doing)'!!

A whole evening of stitching. DH asked what I wanted for my birthday - my reply was along the lines of you sort the kids, I'm doing nothing but stitching:D

Thanks, I will get the wash off one, I already have an air erasable one but I don't trust it! I've used it on my Corrie kit, and when it faded, I re-did the lines, a few times, but now I haven't needed to do it for a while, the lines are still visable, I just hope that they will come out when I wash it!!!

    'Accidentally'? Loving it...:T

We need to start a '101 excuses to stitch' list:rotfl:

    'It was an accident'

'I worked hard all day and that is my reward'

'It was looking at me funny so I had to pick it up and stitch'

    'Umm......the day ends in a Y' :D
:D what have I started! :rotfl:

My main one is actually serious... "my head is going sideways, I'm going to stitch it better". (sewing really does help keep the black dog away). Ooh, didn't realize before writing it here that that excuse as written is almost a pun! Tee hee!

Hmmmm might see if I can do the same with mine, actually I'll let hubby do it because I'm so clumsy I'll most likely break it's neck
:) today I got a CS 25p WOXS, a few yes old, maybe 10, with a 5page guide to stands... Why, how, different types, pros and cons... It features my Emu as a best budget buy:D. What type did u get again? I'll see if it's mentioned.
Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Frugal Living Challenger. No buying cleaning products. I used MSE advice to reduce my car insurance from 550 to 325!! & paid it off in full!!!

Had no idea either. Googled 'pinterest' and came up with a virtual pinboard? From what I could make out it's a site where you have your 'virtual pinboard' and you collect pictures that interest you.....

Yes, I've registered but I have no idea what I'm supposed to do with it. Well, not what really, but why on earth I should bother. Obviously, I'm missing something...

I have spent the last hour or so catching up on everything thats been going on and have now subscribed so that I don't miss out any more now I have got my stitching mojo back!
I have cleared out the whole of my house from top to bottom which has taken ages and unearthed all kinds of things but I feel proud of myself for getting it done and now can concentrate on doing fun things with the kids rather than worrying what I should be doing.
Anyway in the clearing out process I found these that I have finished

    486.jpg
any suggestions on framing this myself or is it not a good idea

    482.jpg
I have now finished this baby afghan I will need to update the picture but now what do I do with it. I have not stitched round the edges before I started as instructions said to machine stitch and I don't have a sewing machine any suggestions how to finish it without a sewing machine

and now I am working on rennie mac wedding sampler which I will need to photograph to see my progress but so far its not much to look at!
I have also bought a few small xmas cards to stitch
reindeer, snowman, robin, meerkat, santa and owl if anyone wants a  let me know

Hello all! I've been getting lovely cross stitch gifts from a family friend for a few years now and am interested at having a go. Can anyone recommend any easy instruction videos/cheap kits. I've seen some for £2 on eBay but I have no idea how difficult/good they will be.
