    Judellie. Autumn Reflections is lovely.

I remembered something this morning that I meant to share you ladies but forgot.
Some of you were loving the HAED in a mag recently but were saying that the symbols were tiny. In my local 99p shop I came across a magnifying bar. I bought one to try because when I photocopy my charts I tend to enlarge them a little and they sometimes aren't as clear as the original but this bar helps no end!
IIRC the packaging said either 2x or 2 and a half x magnification.
The bar measures 17cm long overall with the magnifying area being 13cm (there's a grip/handle at the end) and is 2.5cm wide.

    Hope that helps :)
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

They are usually quite fast, I hope they are s fast with my order....I ran out of 535 for my mermaid so ordered some threads today.

I know they are more expensive than acrosstown, but I would rather pay the extra for the speed this time :o

Wow.....ordered yesterday lunchtime, arrived at 10am today

I was expecting them tomorrow and would have been impressed with that, but their great service means I can crack on with my mermaid tonight when I watch Torchwood :D

  • They are a little bit more expensive than other places on the net, but to be honest their service is stunning!

I ordered a big batch of threads a while back, and I ordered the same one twice - the chap rang me to check if I wanted 2 the same or if I had made a mistake (as I had only ordered 1 of everything else!)

    Autumn reflections looks great Judellie!

I'm pleased as I actually sat down and stitched for a couple of hours last night, and I've managed another half hour this afternoon :) My first stitching in 5 months, and it felt good to be picking up the needle again.

Now I've just got to keep on track!! But I think I'm going to keep this one (African Sunset) as one I do now and again and start some smaller projects. I'm thinking of starting something for Christmas, so I'm going to spend some time picking what to spend my money on :D

It should fit on a 9X12" piece, as long as you don't want a big border for framing. Polstitches do loads of colours for around £4 a piece (evenweave). Just so you have some idea of the price you'll be looking to pay.

I went to the Harrogate show a few years ago with my mum. There was a quilt exhibition on in the hall, which was really nice to wander around. I remember eating sarnies outside while enjoying the view, too.

Thanks - can't wait for Harrogate now as going with friends and we've booked tickets for sat/sun and a hotel nearby. Am going to sign me up for a crafty course or two on the Sunday too.

News just in - have won £100 so might have a few bob to spend in Harrogate - woohoo

loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:
  • Judellie, Autumn reflections looks great and your new designs look so fun! I hope you have fun stitching them...

Recieved a kit today, looks stunning but a little smaller than I hoped. Really want to get started with it but I have never worked on two projects at a time so thats putting me off. Must get this London one finished asap. I am having problems today though my threads keep twisting and knotting which is holding me up

Have a great Friday tomorrow all, weekends nearly here :T
