Thanks for the email Ruth_honey - am going to Harrogate show in November and there are usually a couple of stands doing hand dyed aida and threads so will have to investigate, am saving up already as we are booked in for the weekend with a hotel overnight :jChurch art group is back up and running on Friday so am being very good and trying to slog through school stuff so I can have a guilt-free stitching evening.

Due to the back to work/ school chaos this week and then falling ill with a rotten cold and throat infection i have not been able to get any stitching done this week:(.

Hopefully i will get a little time on saturday to snuggle on the sofa and get that tricky moon finished on my fairy piece, depends if i feel well enough to tackle the 4 types of metallic thread it will require:o

Does anybody have the Adventures in Needlework book? If so would you recommend it?

It should fit on a 9X12" piece, as long as you don't want a big border for framing. Polstitches do loads of colours for around £4 a piece (evenweave). Just so you have some idea of the price you'll be looking to pay.

I went to the Harrogate show a few years ago with my mum. There was a quilt exhibition on in the hall, which was really nice to wander around. I remember eating sarnies outside while enjoying the view, too.

Need to get it washed, ironed and framed. That may be some time away as I'll wait till I've finished the back stitch on Tenby Harbour, then order the frames together.

Next on my list to do are these 2.
