I've faced up to it and been to the Drs, but they can't do anything till after counseling session at the end of Jan. I have no mojo and just feel frustrated. Getting started is the hardest part for me, so I will face that today. After all I had my needle and thread tattoo to remind me 'if in doubt sew', so it's time to take my prescription IUSWIM..
Black dog is here too - I am so very depressed - just don't know what to do any more - I am feeling so very excluded and to top it all this happens.
My late husband had a rare genetic condition and every year we used to meet up with other people with the condition for the weekend about 20+ families. So I have got to know people over the last 20 odd years. We used to subscribe to the charity that orgainised these events but in the last year I haven't, so had no newsletter. Some of them I am friends on facebook and they were talking of the weekend next year (I stil go even tho hubby is dead), so I took a look on the charity website wondering when it is and how much - it is too much. Seen the latest newsletter was available to download, so I downloaded and had to read about the death of one of the girls I was close too. No one let me know. It was way back in July. I messaged a few people who were closer to her to find out how she was and always got told the same - ok but poorly. THe condition makes you deaf so I couldn't phone her and her family put her in a home down south. So I just felt so excluded. I guess my emotions are running on awee bit of high just now.
I am sorry to bring you all down - I know its meant to be a happy time of year but I feel ...
Not done much cross stitch - not done anything on little boy blue for a while but I did do some book marks for some friends for Christmas.
Wee self portraits
Hubby still hasn't got a job - not spend much on presents for anyone - only a couple of pound. Not sent any cards - can't afford too. Sorry for my downer.
Merry Christmas everyone, hope you are well, where ever you are

Sweetcarer - you sound like you need a massive hug (((((HUGS)))))
I'm sorry to hear that, it's not nice finding out something like that so long afterwards and feeling like no one has bothered about you, it can be quite hurtful. PS - I saw those pictures in a mag a while back, they looks really goos stiched up, what a good idea to make them into bookmarks.
Not been too great here either tbh, I have felt myself sinking lower over the past few weeks but it hasn't quite triggered the depression yet thankfully. My mum's op is in the new year, sh isn't doing too well atm due to the medication and my dad has taken a turn for the worse again and is going to hospital tomorrow to get checked over. They warned him last time if the tumour comes back there is nothing more they can do.
Add to that my two sisters are at each others throats and refusing to be at the same place as each other at christmas and all is not well. What is keeping me going is that my hubby and kids are all fine and our little family is all happy.
Sorry - that offloaded more than I meant to
I hope everyone is okay, whatever you are doing and whoever you are spending Chrstmas with xxxCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Tracey - your stocking looks really lovely. Well done. I'm sure your sister will love it.
Love your portraits too sweetcarer. Did you design them yourself? I wouldn't have a clue where to start on designing anything.:o
Hugs to you and your family Louise.
Let's hope that 2012 is a better year than 2011 has been for many of us. Many of us seem to have had a rubbish year for all sorts of different reasons.
Best wishes to all our cafe members.

tellmeitsfriday I have only just taught myself a basic knit stitch and am making a scarf from some very strange wool that all ruffles up as you knit it. What else can you knit that is easy????
Big hugs to all that need them thinking of you all xoxoxoxox0 -
Aww HUGS to everyone who needs them.
It seems like it's a tough time for a lot of us at the moment.
My health is still not fabulous, and my doctor still has no answers for me as to what is causing my tachycardia. I have had lots of tests, all of which have so far come back normal thank goodness (GP suspected a rare cancer of the adrenal gland, but luckily tests proved him wrong!). Just wish I knew what it was so I could start getting back to near normal and have my 2 ops!
So in quest for the answer I am having a 24 hour ECG starting tomorrow. Fingers crossed this gets the answer once and for all.
I have given up on stitching "on the beach" as I have missed postal date, and got good old "darth duck" out for a bit of distraction from everything.
Glad to hear the op went well for your son Craftygranny, hope his symptoms improve soon!
And Tracey that stocking is truely lovely I think your sister will love it (I know I would)
Well Merry Christmas to all you lovely ladies, and I hope all those horrid black dogs vanish soon!
