Craftygranny - lovely to hear from you. Hope you have a lovely christmas.
Started some little cards/gift cards last night (country diary of an edwardian lady - a mag freebie I believe) but couldn't settle down with them - think I was just a bit too tired.:(SPC NO 041STARTED SW 04/14 - TARGET 05/16 - TOTAL LOSS 10ST 3.5LBS :dance:0 -
Hi all, right, enough's enough. This mojo drought WILL end today!
I've taken a cheeky day annual leave!:j. I have NOT told my patents (whod want to come fix the drains), I have not told my friends (1 of whom would want me over to do something of her choosing). I am officially being selfish.:rotfl:
Seriously though, I'm not right, that black dog is barking at the door. I've faced up to it and been to the Drs, but they can't do anything till after counseling session at the end of Jan. I have no mojo and just feel frustrated. Getting started is the hardest part for me, so I will face that today. After all I had my needle and thread tattoo to remind me 'if in doubt sew', so it's time to take my prescription IUSWIM.
So please be firm with me if I only clean the house and watch Big Bang Theory!! (I doo have to watch a little to clear the recorder thingy though, honest!)
~ I've a MP I wanted to do over Xmas (well, before, but hey ho), and a new obsession for Lizzie Kate. Ooh! I was looking up her charts online and found a few 'inspirational' photos on flickr. But was reading a 04Crossstitcher I got in a CS at the weekend.... And found there was one in there!:T V simple but that's prob what I need. Righto off to fill the dishwasher... Wish me luck please.

Hi ladies.
Hugs to those who need them :A
No stitching done here for a few days what with hubby on his xmas hols from work until Jan and being out and about delivering pressies, buying last few things we need and generally getting ready for xmas day.
Today is a day of rest, have nowhere to go so might get some stitching in later:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
23rd Spiral-I have quite a few Lizzie Kate's. Just in case you're interested.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Thanks to all the girls in the Cross Stitch Cafe! You're all fantastic! :A0 -
Ooh, thanks Ruth!
Well I've put washing on, half sorted the kitchen, taken most things out of the freezer looking for a beef silverside to pot roast for solstice tomorow (as always at family Xmas, it's a nice tradition we have to make time for us preXmas rush), and have got out my charts and fabric to face my most hated bit... Figuring out fabric sizes!
Please HELP!! I don't understand the MPowell instructions!! It's the xmas door from the Members area of his site... It says Design Area 8.0x 15.6 cm at 55sts per 10cm. Eh??? I guess sts is stitches, but I usually use 14count Aida. I do have some 16 and some 18. Can someone please help me understand what that means?Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Frugal Living Challenger. No buying cleaning products. OOh, someone else with no mojo because the that rotten black dog - I'm in exactly the same place and have also taken some cheeky time off work today. I've set myself a target of washing up, hanging out washing, ironing and general tidy up. After that I'm allowed to cozy down with my cross stitch - but not before! Keep up the good fight, know it's not easy! x :happyhear# 38 Pay one debt 2012 Dec 2011, Dad - £200/£200 :T but with a tear in my eye, as Dad sadly passed away in March# 1524 SPC 5 - Everything under a pound in purse potted0 -

Can I ask all of you well seasoned Cross Stitchers - how do you organise your projects and threads? I've been looking around on-line and there seem to be a few options. I'm just using some cardboard with holes in it, and the threads are getting tangled and ripping the cardboard all the time, driving me mad!# 38 Pay one debt 2012 Dec 2011, Dad - £200/£200 :T but with a tear in my eye, as Dad sadly passed away in March# 1524 SPC 5 - Everything under a pound in purse potted0
