Had my op on Friday so am off work for three weeks with a few days holiday tacked on the end, so back to work 5th January!
Managed a couple of hours stitching on my 'legs' yesterday then ended up in bed with a terrible migraine.
Woken up at 7 o'clock by a parcel delivery (DMC threads so not too upset) had the Christmas tree up by 10 o'clock so did an hours knitting while waiting for my Mum and Dad to visit. They treated us to fish and chips for lunch, DH went to work, parents went home, quick catch up on here then I'll be cross stitching until Dh gets home at 10.30 tonight.
Bought a new kit on ebay of David Bowie in Labyrinth but can't post picture as not enough posts under new username.
I am no longer bikerchick1066 as I sold my bike when I was diagnosed, and DH always calls me tricksie!Cross Stitch Cafe Member Number 44:rudolf:Cross Stitch Is For Life Not Just For Christmas :rudolf:0 -
Oh, it'll be odd not to call you Biker - I'm not good at change lol..
Glad you've had you're op, and you're feeling OK to stitch. Yay to a month off, but pah to the circumstances xx More positive thoughts for you - you deserve them. Keep fighting xxx
Hope everyone stays safe in the wind this evening.. it's bad even here, and we're way down sarf! xxx0 -
Hi everyone. I've not posted for a while. I've been lurking on the sealed pot challenge pages but I have been busy stitching too. Forest walk is coming along slowly. I am sick of greens and browns and I may have bought two more HAEDs . One I'll be doing at work as its quite small and I'll do the other one as a break from Forest Walk occasionally. I have just finished a lovely seashell picture which I'm going to give as a Xmas present. Can anyone tell me the name of that website that you send finished pieces off for framing? I'll post a picture shortly.
Thanks

Welcome to newbies :j
Not posted in awhile as I haven't had much to say. Have been lurking instead
Have had some anxiety issues but I'm much better than I was a couple of weeks ago so lets hope it stays that way.
Been doing a little stitching but as it's so blimmin cold all I want to do once in front of tv is snuggle down into my blanket!
Hugs and best wishes to those who need them.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

My all time favourite film! Might even pop it on in a sec. I need cheering up. Been ill since wednesday. Just a cold, I think, but medicines don't seem to work with me, so have been coughing loads and sneezing and I've got a headache which goes away for a bit, but comes back twice as bad. My head is so fuzzy that I don't even want to stitch as I know I'll make mistakes.
I'm still not getting notifications from my subscribed threads on MSE, so have to remember to check in.
Hope you're all doing ok & I'll try & keep my germs to myself here.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

im really not sure though how one is meant to stitch the designs.....0 -
Why not FE?
I have just scanned them in on my computer and when I want to do one I will print it out.... I always copy the chart anyway, because I like to scribble all over them...
Has anyone seen CraftyGranny recently?0 -
Not done so much recently with Christmas plays etc at work and general business. Am sitting down with crafty box this afternoon and planning Christmas holidays one thing at a time. Have just found a lovely Christmas wall hanging I've never started and the Christmas tree I finished earlier in the year so those are first on my list to do something with.Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly

I'm new to the forums and was wondering if i could join the Cross Stitch Cafe please?
I have been stitching for a quite a while, although not too much the last few weeks, this time of year is so busy with other things!
I have managed to complete a couple of ornaments for my tree though a few weeks ago. I was going to post a photo but i don't know how, lol.August Grocery Challenge (15th)0 -
Hi keepcalmanddrink tea (LOVE the user name!) Of course you can join in. Grab a chair, grab a cuppa :coffee:and settle down with your stitching (or to be honest what ever you like as stitching sometimes takes a back seat for us all) and the others will be along to welcome you shortly
