Many thanks Di, what l think l will do is as you advised but wait to dealine 31st August, although in my case l dont believe make any difference as this went to FOS last April after HFC gave there final descision after stating they had now destroyed all records. They are now saying they are investigating only because l named the CS person date and time of phone conversations and advised this all to the CEO of HSBC.
The real frustration of this is that l took it to FOS because of HFC deceit but deep down expected them to say no as l had no paperwork that l had no case but my adjuicator said she believed l had and was going to do her homework and base my case on a loan for the same amount and timescale on what she believed l should be rewarded. Unfortunately she now seems uninterested and not forthcoming.
Sorry just feeling a bit sorry for myself and let down.
Thanks for all your support. :o

I have a male adjudicator just like that one! I can understand how frustrated you must be, mine have been in with the FOS - 2009, but its a complex case, in relation of HFC again but when I taken my loan out with them they were called Endeavour, but going the underwriter direction, am still going to keep fighting it, and stay strong on yours now as well, the end of the month is almost here, and with a bit of luck they will get back by or before then.
    You are very welcome. x:A

I ended up sending an e-mail to the CEO of HFC every few hours from work for a few days and in the end i did get a reply. Don't give up hope as i'm sure it will be dealt with soon. I would keep sending the same e-mail to the CEO and after a while you will get an answer. Good Luck.

    Hi There,

Just wondered if you could tell me the e mail address for the CEO of HFC?

    Thanks

Hi Di, received a letter from HFC on Saturday which states they destroyed my paperwork on 10th July 2010 funny though l requested the SAR on 28th April 2010. The letter also states that with regards my PPI claim they will respond directly to FOS with response. My adjuicator stated she would call me yesterday and still no response.
Sent her email advising her about the letter and asking if she was giving HFC a deadline as this has been with FOS 14 months and adjuicator since April. To be honest reading there letter received l know they are not going to updhold my claim. Please Di and advise.
    Thanks

:mad:Can someone advice me just received a email from adjuicator asking for all info she already has (i.e. dates and names of conversations with HFC) that alone is worrying as she has been supposedly working on my case since April. Also asked for a copy of letter received from HFC, she then e-mails back stating that she will request copies of phone transcripts although they should contact back with 2 weeks that due to fact HFC are so busy sorting claims there may be a delay. I asked her surely they have had my complaint 14 months and long term PPI complaints should take priority. She has not bothered to answer, can someone advise me as really getting no pro-active response fro adjuicator and she seems to be just sitting on my case

    Hi Kimy

I had a small breakthrough yesterday.

In case you have forgotten, in my instance, HFC said they had issued a final response by email to the FOS, back on 15 August.

The FOS have no record of this yet because of their huge backlog, which is extremely frustrating and HFC wouldnt tell me what the final response was.

However, yesterday, the FOS gave me a phone number for HFC which went through to their dedicated PPI complaints team in the UK and avoided their useless Indian call centre. I spoke to an extremely helpful lady called Rowena who let the cat out of the bag and confirmed that my complaint has been upheld and an offer made to the FOS. She couldnt give me figures, but at least I know that I will be getting SOMETHING.

Called the FOS back to advise of this, but again nothing they can do until they clear the backlog and reach my case.

So it is back to the waiting game, but at least there is light at the end of the tunnel. My complaint has been ongoing over a year now so keep persevering.

I am at work presently, but when I get home I will give you the phone number for Rowena and maybe she can help you out as she was incredibly helpful.

Banks get plenty of stick when they give poor service so only fair to highlight when they get it right :-)

    Hi KIMY

Sorry for the delay in responding (I been trying to catch up here and there lol, my mate's mum just passed away, so have been helping out with her).;)

That is strange, have you made a phone call to the Information commissioners Office (ICO) about this?
Something not right here in my opinion.
