Mine arrived the other day but only just got round to opening them.

Think I'll keep some for myself and pass some on as part of presents. ;)

I also got a pack of 20 greetings cards (winnie the pooh ones) for £1.99. :) They're out of stock now, but these Kipper ones are stilll available for £1.99 HERE

Thanks again for the tip off.

My first post in OS... be gentle :D

    I hope this helps someone.

The book seems to be listed twice on The Book People's website. One is showing out of stock the other isn't. I just placed my order and they've confirmed it by email. Yay :j

New Link - no more having to phone up!!!!

Mine finally arrived today! :j I see what people mean about the oversized box.....! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

When I opened it I found the 8 books - fab - will keep some and use some as presents - and the annual (have to find a child to give that to!) - but no second book (I'd ordered the 100 risottos)....

So I got on the phone to them - and they tell me it is out of stock so they will have to give me a refund. Ah well - one way of getting the free postage without having to order another item. Net result is 8 lovely cookery books and an annual for £5! :T:T:T

Thanks again to Caroline for the original link - brilliant! :A

  • I got these today. It was worth the wait, the Elizabeth David books are especially fascinating! The image of post-war Britain where tomatoes, aubergines, peppers and basil were hardly available is a real eye-opener, her introduction is great culinary history.

Thanks to the OP for this post! :T
