Surely if businesses mis-price goods, or don't pick up on their own errors this is their problem?

Ok. but don't expect any sympathy if you forget one day to lock your door.
We'll say the burgalar was quite within their rights to take up your "invitation" and it's your problem.

I think it's ok as long as people don't go crazy, for example buying 100 of something because of the glitch. People just get greedy with glitches sometimes.

Does anyone else feel slightly uneasy at some of the threads on here about glitches on websites which allow you to get more than you are paying for? Just because there is an error on the site??

Does it sound a little bit like the riots we have seen on the streets where everyone is out for what they can get??

    Just food for thought.

I've never taken advantage of any glitches, often not having the courage to do so, and did have a vague feeling of unease about them.

But to compare them, even if ever so lightly, with the riots is beyond belief. Did you not see the fires, the livelihoods, homes, goods and chattels, old buildings, etc going up in flames. Did you not hear of the people in the Carpetright building shouting down to the rioters that there were people living in those flats and who were told to 'F... off'. Did you also not fear for your own community?

So, to answer your thread, no, not in a million years can you compare the looting and rioting with some people on a website taking advantage of publicly available glitches, which companies can close down immediately if they so wish. And, it's not the same as leaving your back door open.

My home is private property, a website is a public retail outlet. No-one is stealing anything, they are paying for their goods at whatever price is being offered.

Please take a moment to reflect what you have written.

What is your opinion of the major supermarkets over charging us every day? Will you accuse them of rioting and thuggery?

I have been to Tesco this morning and they have charged me too much which I have reported to their Customer services team. It's their mistake and will they compensate me for phone charges and petrol of course not.
I rarely check my receipts and glad I did on this occasion.

Ps. I've often read on these forums that their orders get cancelled.

So you think it's morally perfectly ok for others to take what they aren't entitled to if you make a mistake?
I admire you honestly and taking responsibility for your own actions. We don't see a lot of that these days.

However I disagree and think many others would to.
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should take something that you aren't entitled to.
But at least you are consistent if you think it's ok for people to take from you.

Exactly. And if they don't have steel shutters they're asking to be robbed.

    Really ?

Tbh I would expect to be able to leave a £50 at the end of my drive and still expect it to be there later .

By expecting to be robbed , or by saying its our fault is just giving permission to those who steal imho

  • To the op and all people who agree with op. If you don't agree with it simply stop looking at the grabbit board.
No one makes you look at the deals which you all obviously do.
Likening people who save a few quid to the looters is truly disgusting moneysavers are not causing millions of poundsworth of damage . In most instances the companys cancel all orders and the ones that go through are a way of actually getting more customers on,loyalty basis.

Please there is enough crap going on in our country at the moment never mind bringing it on here.
    I have 2 gorgeous kids :D
