Is there anyone on here at the moment who could help me. My pc is going really slow and I think I have got a virus. Could someone talk me through how I check, I do have anti virus and anti malware on my pc.

download and install and update this

if you already have it then run the program , click on the update tab and then update it
once updated do a full scan then post the log fileEx forum ambassador

I do have Malwarebytes on my pc but it won't let me update it, sorry if I am slow in replying but my pc is really slow.Thanks for any help and advice given

ok , download and install it again , if it still will not work try downloading it on a clean PC and putting on a CD or USB drive to transfer to the infected PC
you can also try this

and do a full scan

I am on windows xp, should I uninstall the one I have on my pc before I download the new one?

no , these supplement anti virus
we can tell you if anything needs removing or replacing a bit further down the line

If you get the chance, run Hijackthis to post a log (should take a few minutes at most)

Can take 2 hours for a full Malwarebytes scan

Are you running Malwarebytes or Superantispyware? Just double check the results, make sure nothing is an obvious false positive as best you can, and clean all the suggestions. Either program will quarantine the results, so at worst you can restore anything if need be.
Post the log from either program, then follow up with the Hijackthis log please.0
