Same here, but I darent say anything
there must be someway of sorting it. Could the threads maybe be locked after a day or so like on the regular comps board? If for some reason the comeptition ended, or the question changed or the answer was found to be wrong the guides or OP would be able to sort it?Weight Loss - 102lb0 -

I do agree that it is annoying, and like you say a lot of peeps are doing it at the mo but I wouldn't like the threads to be locked, no way, that would cut out the discussion over answers and also the friendly banter. Probably cause more work for the mods too. I guess we'll just have to explain as we go along and mention it to peeps when they do it.I've been lucky, I'll be lucky again. ~ Bette Davis0 -
Yeah that would be a much better option!
I agree that the comps board is such a fun and friendly board but it is just starting to spoil abit with people thanking like they are and making it harder to work out which comps you have done etc
Is just working out how to word it politely and not offend anyoneWeight Loss - 102lb0 -
Well I'll start a thread about it now, do help if I don't strike the right tone, don't want to offend peeps.I've been lucky, I'll be lucky again. ~ Bette Davis0

Thanks. I dont always mince my words and would be afraid of offending someone or getting punished by MSE! Im addicted to MSE!
Just another thought - what happens when you ignore people, do you still see the competitions but just not the post from teh person? Never had to use ignoreWeight Loss - 102lb0 -
Just wanted to raise the issue of bumping posts for Thank Yous but I in no way want to offend or upset anybody. I do think this does need addressing at the moment though.
When thanking the OP it would be much preferable if for the main part people just use the 'Thanks' button to thank the OP because unnecessary bumping really makes this forum a lot harder to keep up with and it can really be a struggle at times. It takes that much longer if a big percentage of the posts you click on you've already entered but someone has bumped to just say thanks.
I'm really not trying to discourage the friendly banter or anything like that, and I myself bump the odd post just to say thanks when it's something I'd really love but please don't use that as your method to keep track.I've been lucky, I'll be lucky again. ~ Bette Davis0 -
I've just tried ignore and it still shows you that the person has posted, but doesn't show the contents of their post, so I don't think that will solve the problem unfortunately0
