I don't thank ones I've not entered because on the odd occasion I have been known to change my mind about a comp and enter it the second time I see it. Some of these are around for a long while, circumstances change, and I would miss out on the entry if I'd already thanked. I'm also just mean.I've been lucky, I'll be lucky again. ~ Bette Davis0

I've just been reading on the channel 4 DOND forum/FAQ's that the same proportion of web entries goes into the draw as the phone calls.

I only thank those I've entered too - because I may want to enter others later if circumstances change.
Really handy way of keeping track of what you have entered.Jo x2007:£5181.09 2008: £6619.70 2009: £4284.49 2010: £5213.14 2011: £4980.62 2012: £3188.52

hi everyone!!! im new to all this but was wondering how many comps do any of you enter each day.you all seem to have lots of luck!0

I don't count the number I enter, but usually what amounts to about 4 pages on this forum per day (I tend not to enter holiday ones).
In terms of email comps from this site only, there are between 8 & 20 per day in my sent items folder.
A lot in other words
Also just discovered that sixtyplusurfers do use the domain name email:

I probably enter a lot less than others.
Just p'haps one or two web comps a day if they catch my eye, some days none at all.
Postcards, less than ten per week,
Free prize draw leaflets (fpd) around the same amount,
Tiebreakers (t/b) Everyone were I'd like the prize, which these days is perhaps four or five per week. But as you can't expect to come up with a good t/b in one day I often have two or three going on a work board at the same time, picking it up now & then adding a word, changing a phrase etc until I think it's got a chance of winning something.
So I guess I prioritise by doing the ones that the judges will actually look at before entering the ones which only rely on luck.
Good Luck all, however you might enter,,,,,,,,,,,,,0 -

How about:-
turning off PCs, laptops & especially screens when people leave the office as even in standby mode they use power,
using wasted printer paper as note paper/ for messages instead of post it notes,
install motion detector lighting,
changing company bank accounts,From MSE Martin - Some General Tips On Holiday Home Organisations and Sales Meetings

Just thought it might be useful to record some numbers about winning competitions for some of the regular questions that are asked.
Tatoo07 won premier tickets to Spiderman3 & stay in 5* hotel in Mayfair from on line competition Music Control. There were 540 entries.
MSErs won 17 prizes of bottles of champagne/ bunches of flowers from 1,000 available- so 1.7% of all prizes. (I think this is a conservative number as not everyone who enters from MSE is registered). Of the 17 winners 10 had thanked the OP in the original thread.
Obviously some comps have fewer entries (there was one a month or two ago for a holiday to South Africa if you sent in a photo to be their typical outdoor family which had no entries) and some have a lot more (I bet the Asda Mazda daily comp has thousands & thousands). From MSE Martin - Some General Tips On Holiday Home Organisations and Sales Meetings

How do all of you keep track of the comps you have entered. Is it just the thanks option or do you keep records elsewhere?
Thanks.
