I've noticed in a few threads, when people have posted a comp that's already on the board, that the phrase 'check the thanks' is posted afterwards. Possibly a daft question, but what does it mean?
Thanks in advance

If you have thanked the post, then that means you have usually entered the comp
so if its posted again and you are linked to the original OP, you can see if you have entered and not enter again0 -
Thanks - been wondering about it for a while. In need of a new signature! :rotfl:0

Yes, thanks Kipper, it is really frustrating when you invalidate the first entry by accidentally entering twice!!0

:rotfl: Glad you asked Stuart, i've been wondering that for a while too. I actually thought it was something far more b!tchy; i.e. if a comp had already been posted then you should thank the original poster and not the new one. I did think it was a little mean! :rotfl:0

you calling us b!tchy!!! lol
It also helps the BGs if you link to the original OP too, cos then they can merge the threads.... we don't do it to be b!tchy:rotfl:
*edit* I put a very rude word in and expected it to be bleeped out.... it wasn't, sorry if anyone saw it :eek:0 -
:rotfl: I know you're not b!tchy! This is the most friendly board i've come across!0

I thank if I've entered the comp or if I decide not to enter. Thats the only way I can keep track and make sure I don't enter any twice.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

Not stupid and thanks for asking. I only worked it out yesterday so glad to have it confirmed.
