Thats a good point, I am sure they will honour the prizes for the online ones even though they pulled the lot. It would be even more unfair if they didnt!

    hi
I just won a £50 thompson voucher in the heinz on-line comp.
now this maybe a freebie for someone on here as I will never use it, I would like to know if I can give it to someone, I can not find the T&C for these. But what you do is just print off the coupon, which does have my name at the top, but when booking a holiday by phone you just quote the ref number. I can also just email you the email they sent me so you could print it off yourself.
another option is if i was say a relation can these vouchers be put together, so the surname wouldn`t matter,
so if anyone knows what I can do with it to help someone else out let me know as I am not sure.

    Sorry to say but,,,,,,,,,,
They actually aren't very useful at all & hardly worth using, most holidays can be found cheaper elsewhere as you have to pay full price.
Heres a *snip* of the t&c's,
It has to be used on bookings between 15th February and 31st December 07, on holidays costing at least £500. It excludes late deals, and accomodation only, and has to be used on the basic holiday price. It can't be used with any other special offers.

Thanks for the reply, It is a shame as it is no use to me I just wanted to see if it was of any use to someone else.
As far as I know most people have either won play.com or Thomson vouchers from Heinz, I think they are saving the big prize for me, nearer the end date :rotfl:

  • I know, I know. The email I recieved this morning is probably what the phrase 'a fool and his money are soon parted' was invented for.

I just wondered whether anyone had any experience of this 'too good to be true' offer? I've tried to Google it for reviews but can't find any. Being such regular compers I wondered whether any of you have any feedback? If I can't find anything positive I'm going to decline their kind, 'one day a year only' offer! The original email said:-
    Dear XXXXXX,

    Coming up in today's email:

    * How Tony & Karen save thousands on holidays and cars.
    * Win a trip to Malaysia

Whilst the rest of us save to pay for our holidays Tony Driver enters free competitions.

In just twelve months Tony has won:

    * A holiday to Australia for his family of five
    * A romantic break in New York (including shopping)
    * Plus a luxury spa break in Yorkshire

Karen de Ronde is not doing so badly either... Like Tony she has won three prizes in a year:

    * A holiday to Memphis, including a trip to Graceland
    * A holiday to Egypt
    * And a brand new Ford Kia

Did you know, over the coming year a whopping £13million will be given away in UK prize draws, including at least 30 family holidays to Australia, 20 chances to win Mini Coopers and countless new homes...

But most ordinary people won't get the chance to win a tiny fraction of these prizes. In fact, they'll probably never get to hear about them. Even the most dedicated comper could only scratch the surface of what's really available.

But now you can quickly get access to every competition worth knowing about.

    (XXXXX LINK WAS HERE XXXXXX)

Because... I'd like to show you an extraordinary opportunity to see dozens of prizes flooding through your door... a prize-winning advantage that will put you way ahead of your peers and make them turn green with envy...

A way you could get privileged access to almost EVERY UK competition worth knowing about during the next 12 months and beyond.

£250!!!! I'm assuming this is an offer for the terminally stupid?

Goodness, that doesn't seem a very money saving way to go about comping. Stick with us.

It's a bit strange - I googled and found 2 sets of info, one saying that you had to register by the 9th of June and you'd never get a chance again, and another saying the same thing but with a date of the 28th of February.

Also it seems to be connected with something called the Winning Wire which I've found an email in my inbox from signing up to them and they say they'll email me comps every week, but I've not seen any other emails from them.

Anyway, I reckon you can do pretty well just using MSE and/or loquax rather than spending £250 to join somewhere and then £10 a quarter after that.
