Many many years ago as a young and foolish, somewhat green behind the ears and always penniless early 20's I joined a club that promised for a few pounds (But to me at the time it was a small fortune) I could join their compers club and was guaranteed to have a win before the end of the year that would change my life, and money back if I didnt win anything. I joined and paid my fees, I won but life changing it was not (a video of Ghost and a rather nasty sweatshirt with Patrick Swayzes face badly printed right in the middle-enough to make me laugh and probably give small children nightmares). At the end of the year that was the sum total of my wins so I contacted the company and told them my life had not changed, they wrote back (eventually) but of course I never got my money back. Stick with us (mind you so far I have only won a Garfield 2 DVD, but then I did sell it on ebay and make £7), safer and no dodgy sweatshirts!
Member since Sept 2003, been comping seriously since 2004 and so far have won.........
A book (which never arrived) a Rugby ball (mother of three girls) and a cheque for £50. In 2009 my (one and only) win An Avatar goody bag (thanks to weeowen67) since then nothing. Come on Comping Fairy surely I deserve a little luck?
  • Thanks everyone! Well I agree that you only need stick with MSE. My free 'Best Bits of Phil 'n' Fern from This Morning' arrived on my mat this morning. And not a scary Swayze in sight! :D
Why do mice have such small balls?
Because so few of them can dance.

The only winners on that would be Compers Alliance.

I had that e-mail and also this 'Compers Alliance' gets mentioned in the comping magazine I get.

the same thing being said that you can only join up during a certain time period.
    Although I didn't realise it was £250 to join:eek:

the mag I get is supposed to be mentioning it in the next issue, so I'll let you know what it says.
But I think the mag and the compers alliance are one and the same. They seem to be run by the same people.

I used to get Simply Prizes [a magazine with competitions they've found in supermarkets, online, magazines etc.. etc..] it's basically like this site, but in paper! I used to enter the competitions loads, always shelling out money for stamps and scouring around for free postcards. Did this for a year [I think it cost me £20 for the yearly subscription]. In that whole year... I won... dum dum dum dum....

    A Book on Supermarket Wines
    A Nivea pack.

Which I could have bought about 17 times over with the subscription money and stamps etc..

This site is much better, don't risk your money, it's not smart moneysaving!

Hi, Newbie here. I was just wondering as I can never remember which comps I enter - do you get disqualified if you enter a competition more than once or do you still get entered into a competition once? Is there any way of telling which comps you've entered before - my memory's not too good?

Multiple enries usually disqualify you. We click the thanks button as a record of entry. It becomes harder to track you entries if you use more than one comping site.
