Usually the best way to tell if you have already entered a competition is to use the thanks button to thank the OP who posted the competition. That way if you happen to go into that post again thinking you havent entered and see that you have already thanked the poster you know you have entered it

Comps vary as to how many times you are allowed to enter but the majority (i think) are once only - best to check the terms and conditions if you feel the urge to enter more than once!

Click On 'User CP' in the pink bar under where it says:

Down the left click on 'edit options' - scroll down to thread display options & check if show avatars is ticked, if it is, you can see the pictures under peoples user names.

To get / change an avatar:

Down the left click on 'edit avatar'

You can upload / change your avatar there.

If they arent displayed already go into User CP, then into 'Edit Options' and then down in the thread display options make sure there is a tick in the box next to show avatar

Okay, My DS has just sorted me out I have absolutely no idea how he did it as he raised his eyes to the sky, sighed 'Mum' and said 'move over!'
Anyway I can now see all your avatars and hopefully you guys can see mine.
Ooh er, I've just noticed Catz747 actually has a cat as hers, I have a real phobia about those little creatures ( No offence Catz747)
Off to watch Dalziel and Pascoe now! see you all tomorrow.

Was also wondering - do you have less of a chance/no chance of winning if you do not agree to receive that site's newsletters/emails? Or do all entries get treated the same? I feel obliged to accept that site's newsletters even if it's not stated in their terms and conditions.

I dont know whether the chances are reduced if you dont agree to receive the newsletters/emails. I just opt in and then filter them into junk email so I still receive them but not into my inbox!
