  • I used to buy Competitor's Companion magazine (no longer available I don't think) and it told me all the competitions that were around. I am particuarly interested in tie breaker comps rather than prize draws. Does anyone know of any magazine or website or club that does the same? Thanks!

Competitor's companion has a website if it is the same thing - you have to pay to access some of the competitions I think.

A huge thank you to all who post the comps and deals that make life so much fun!

You can join Competitors Companion without paying, upgrading gives you the answers to the clues but usually they are easy enough to find, so I joined without paying, mind you haven't won anything
Member since Sept 2003, been comping seriously since 2004 and so far have won.........
A book (which never arrived) a Rugby ball (mother of three girls) and a cheque for £50. In 2009 my (one and only) win An Avatar goody bag (thanks to weeowen67) since then nothing. Come on Comping Fairy surely I deserve a little luck?

there's a couple of magazines from this site here

I've subscribed to Winners Friend for a year and am just seeing how it goes.
There are always some tie-breakers in the mag, and they have articles on how to write the best tie-breakers.

Although I've found, because I visit so many places now to enter competitions, I've got to be very careful not to duplicate any of my entries and make them void.

Good luck with all your comping.
I'm still dreaming of coming home from work one day and hubby saying I've had a huge parcel delivered!:rotfl:

Does anyone know if there is a standard set of terms and conditions anywhere for competitions? I need one for my website.

Perhaps reading t & c's from the bigger sites that run comps regulary would help.
