I had a price check through today and it matched the discounted Tesco price of the wine, not the actual bottle price of the wine, so Tesco was cheaper!

    6 x TESCO FINEST PINOT GRIGIO 75CL £ 27.90 * £ 41.88
    8 x TESCO FINEST KEN FORRESTER CHENIN BLANC75CL £ 42.52 * £ 55.84

does anyone know if the tesco finest ryan rose gets price checked against anything at asda or does it come back n/a?
it comes back n/a - also the Duero and Duro reds but the Chianti matches - and is more expensive at asda so be careful out there
  • I got the Berberana red at £6.49 as a cooking wine for a net £2.38 a bottle; I think this is the best of the 3 for £12 offers.

A selection of 2 for £10 wines (unfortunately no Malbec or Chianti available) finally came out at a net £3.00 a bottle. However the 2 bottles of San Antonio Valley Chardonnay went through the till at £6.21 a bottle rather than the SEL £8.79 price, reducing the 25% discount. I thought I'd try my luck at Customer Services and eventually got a £1.29 refund, but no DTD. According to a manager. this is no longer a Tesco policy! The former notice on the CS wall was no longer there following a refurbishment, so I'll be contacting HQ Customer Services.

Getting a refund from being charged less at the tilll than the SEL brought back memories of the original R&R which could be claimed if the price charged was different from the SEL price.

I wonder if someone can help please. After reading this I did my first ever shop with Tesco (online). I ordered 6 of the small bottles of wine, and 12 large, thinking I would get 25% off the full prices of all of them. The invoice shows:

    Jacobs Creek Shiraz Cab 18.7 cl - 3 @ 2.49 = £7.47
    Blossom Hill White Zinfandel 18.7cl - 3 @ 2.29 = £6.87

    Namaqua Diamond Coast Chardonnay 75 cl - 4 @ 4.99 = £19.96 (originally 9.99)
Piccini Chianti Riserva 75 cl - 4 @ £4.99 = £19.96 (original price 7.99 down to 5.99 but they sent a replacement from what I'd asked for and price matched)
    Ogio Colombard Sauvignon 75 cl - 3 @ 4.99 = £14.97 (original price 9.99)
    Ogio Merlot Shiraz 2009 75 cl - 1 @ 4.99 = £4.99 (original price 9.99)

The only discounts showing though were:

    Wine 2 for £3 - 5.34
    Wine discount -18.86

I just don't know how they came about the discount amount? Does anyone know if this is right?

    Many thanks.

If your delivery is after tomorrow, it wont show the 25% off, as the wine festival ends tomorrow by what I understand

I haven't done the working out for you but just wanted to note that the 25% off applies to the current price of the wine (not the 'before' price on anything marked at 1/2 price). You only get an extra discount if you buy wine included in a '2 for £x' or '3 for £x' offer, as the discount is then applied to the full cost of each bottle.
