Well I went to Tesco to do my food shop but had my brother with me who was getting bored!! So I decided I would go back tomorrow and buy the wine then :) I am a bit unsure of what to buy though to maximise my deal, might do a mix and match of large and miniture ones? I was thinking of buying all the presents I need for my colleagues at xmas, what are the chances of tesco doing this offer again before xmas?

The last one wasn't that long ago so I think there's a good chance. I think the best value for money is the tesco finest 2 for £10 (sorry I know I'm banging on :o!) BUT they are between 6.99 - 8.79 I think is the most expensive, so to take that example you'll end up paying £16.81 for 6 bottles. Having said that if none of those are to your taste then the First Cape Pinotage/Shiraz at 3.49 a bottle (15.70 for 6) is a good buy as are some of the other half price wines. HTH
  • if i buy 6 meal deals =£60 then all the discounts total £30
but the wine is £9.99 n £6.99 in asda would i get back £20(capped)

    =£10 for 6 meal deals
    have i done this right??

Thank you! :) I will take any advice. I did compile a list of what I wanted which included 9 bottles for 23.50 I think, which did include 2 of the finest roses as I wanted to get a mix so I know for future what is nice and what isnt. But then I was thinking of sticking to my silver bay point and the garducci rose, but there is just too much choice!! :)

I will wait and buy the presents closer to christmas they might have a better offer on. Does anyone know what the JP chennet is like in the wonky bottle as I was considering some of that?

    ive never had a prob:j

Apparently the main 24 hour tesco doesn't have a 24 hour alcohol licence and it took ages to find the place so missed the deadline by 5 mins and they wouldn't serve us. Staff were impolite, unhelpful and didn't even know where the next 24 hour store was!

I'd driven all the way from Todwick too!

I really like the JP Chennet rose, doesn't fit as nice in a bottle bag though if you buying for a gift :D

See my earlier post. Although the discount came off for the wine deal, it came back as N/A on the pricechecker.

Just wondering when I did my shopping earlier the till gave me two spend vouchers 1 for 8 off wys 40 and one for 7 off wys 50. I was wondering how I would go about using these for wine purposes, as in how much wine would I have to buy and would the total have to be over 50 for them to work as I know before all the discounts it would be fine?

They did have banners they were placed opposite around the champagne section. I also saw a SEL where the miniature wines were, that stated 2 for £3 for a particular brand can't remember the name of it but its irrelevant because it seems to work for most of them if not all!

mmmmmmmmmm, just been to mine and all the minatures are priced individually now, will try and go tommy and see if they scan at 2 for 3 pound,

    cheers
