The only reason i was going to get some is im a huge lightweight and i can barely drink a glass of wine without feeling drunk! so wanted something lighter that i can enjoy with my friends when they have the stronger stuff, I would like a good deal on rose though but dont know what else i could go for? I am thinking of getting a mix of the sparkling rose on offer of 3 for 12 and the silver point.

Well maybe this offer is a perfect time for you to get a few wines to try as you'll be getting at least 25% off if you pick up 6 bottles. :D

Certainly try the Silver Bay and get the 2 for £5 deal and maybe try the Hollywood Red or Rose (Californian Wine) which is cheap at £4.16/ £4.40 but nice wine if opened for 2 hours beforehand.

How about trying the Sparkling own brand Tesco Cava (Spanish version of Champagne - try the Demi -Sec, the label is Pink ) at £4.48 and this is a lot easier to drink than Brut which is very dry but needs to be well chilled and maybe even stick it in the freezer after chilling (for a little while but dont let it freeze).

They also do a South African white wine thats not bad for £2.99, its a Western Cape wine at 13% and again its a medium sweet.

At the end of the day if you buy any wine and dont like it, dont worry - just stick it in a glass with lots of ice and top it up with some tonic water (makes a spritzer) and you'll find it becomes very drinkable.

I would just like to say that my previous post about silver bay 'British' (made) wine being 'seriously horrible' was exaggerated. It is in fact just horrible.
However, that is just my personal opinion, and I accept that others may enjoy the taste especially when chilled and mixed with another beverage to take the taste away. I was just cautioning an eager purchasor against buying shedloads of it just because it is cheap even before the glitch.
Still virtually alcohol free since 4/1/15. (10 Xmas/ New Year/Birthday drinks)

Altrincham store is no longer taking 25% off the full price of the wine, but 25% off the offer price i.e. if you buy 6 bottle of the 3 for £12 wine, you pay £24 minus 25%.

Hmm not too sure whether to cancel mine, was looking like a fab deal with a tenner off first delivery as well but if not getting the 25% off the full price it is only looking like a good deal, Im getting delivery on Sat Night so Iv got a while to think about cancelling, just a question if I do cancel will I still get my £10 off my first shop when I decide to do it or have I now used my first free shop code?
