    Evening All,

Well done to JackieO's DGD :D Someone else had good news, but I've forgotten already :o So congrats! Silver have a great holdiay.

Churchmouse hope DS stays safe, this whole thing is a flaming disgrace, and I think water cannons with non removable ink is a great idea.

Tappers, hugs for Taplord and you, hope he doesn't have to pay for the damage to the milkfloat! ;)

We had some good news here too, DH got the job he went to Belfast for the interview, for. Its a PAYE job, company car/van, all expenses covered, and SICK PAY and HOLIDAY PAY. He's not been in direct employment for about eleven years, so the additional security in these times is more than welcome, and a huge relief. :j :j :j

DSIS' house is still not sorted, she is having it assessed tomorrow, please keep your fingers crossed it gets sorted quickly for her.

    Have a nice evening,

    Jackie XXX

I have already said it privately, but Happy Birthday to my dear friend Lou :bdaycake: I hope this coming year sees a turnaround in your fortunes.

jackieg how did you enjoy the football? I'm wondering if things are going to be cancelled this weekend if there aren't enough police around.

Congrats for the job for DH. Does this mean you are moving from our fair city?

Oh no, he will travel, and I will keep the home fires burning :) (Thanks x) I am wondering about the weekend myself.

Loved the match, especially drooling after Gerard Butler - have you seen my latest share on FB? Swoon!

Churchmouse - dont worry I'm watching him:) hope your DS isn't working too hard and manages to get a good rest x

The Dairy have given all the milkmen a letter advising them what to do if caught up in a riot:D they are to drive away if possible - if not they must abandon the float and under no circumstances are they to be involved in a confrontation:D:rotfl: thats hilarious really cos DH delivers in the country lanes of Herefordshire/Worcestershire and there's absolutely no chance of a riot - they are all elderly country ladies/gents.

Well done Mark, bet you're relieved Jackie!
Feeling more and more sickened by the scenes on the news and the excuses being made about the poor wee souls out robbing and wrecking for fun.....I was brought up in a one bedroom tenement flat with no indoor loo for years, dressed in hand me down clothes and my mum out cleaning from before 6am every day, but I never felt the need to break the law for fun! Where do these kids' parents think they are, or think they got the new tv/trainers/ booze?????
Rant over, sorry, but at times I despair for the future of my 2 if that's whats going on in the world!
On a happier note I am now off for 4 days and hopefully will get my new car on Friday, skint but happy! Have finally sorted the house after the kitchen/bathroom refit so will spend tomorrow tackling mount ironmore if its still persisting with rain and windy, the motorway was a nightmare on the way home from work tonight!
    RIP Iain

Oooooh would he be Ernie with the fastest milkfloat in the west :rotfl: ( yes I know it's a milk cart in the original :p )

Can't help thinking that the rioters could be much faster than a milk float! Sorry but that really made me laugh. I hope he's ok.

That reminded me of when years ago my late OH was the general manager of a large oil depot near to Croydon Airport. He received a letter from his bosses saying that if there was a terrorist incident then he was to open the enclosed letter which until then he had to store in his safe. The fact that he had in excess of 40.000 gallons of oil in his warehouse and had there been an incident half of the business park (including the whole of the company's premises and safe including the letter) would have disapppeared into a large smoking hole in the ground seemed not to have occured to the 'suits' at HQ:rotfl:Still the thought was there I suppose.
Must be rain on the way as my creaky joints are playing up, hence the reason I am up at this unearthly time of the morning. Hope all are safe tonight from any disturbances
