Happy birthday Lou! :) and good morning all x

Hope everyone in hotspots is OK - some FBK comments from people I know are disgusted with these morons and calling for tougher measures!

The rain has arrived now, so no washing going out - will have to resurrect my airer. Got magazine stitching to do, DGS here again all day (THAT will be fun with 3 kids inside during the rain! :( )

Littlies waking now, so off for breakfast - will try to pop back later. Have a good morning all, hugs and kisses.

    Morning all,

Hope everyone is safe and sound especially Reverbe.

    Happy Birthday Lou.

    JackieO well done to Katie.

Dull and overcast here this morning with a bit of drizzle, hopefully it will cheer up later.

DD2 is having a friend over for the day today while her mum is at work so will have to make them a nice lunch, probably pizza.

Tea tonight is salmon with home grown potatoes, lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber.

    Have a lovely day everyone.:)

    Morning everyone.

    Happy Birthday Lou.

Hope everyone is safe and well this morning. I'ts lovely and sunny here in Cornwall at the moment - fingers crossed it lasts as I've got a short day today. :T

I did well last night - made a pie completely from leftovers (top tip - if you're planning on using up cooked chicken drumsticks leave yourself PLENTY of time to strip the meat off them - they are very fiddly!) and then dug the last of the 'new' potatoes out of the garden. They were yum but I'm sad that's the last of them.

I've managed not to buy ANYTHING since Saturday when I spent £6 on bits for family visiting, although I'm going to need to go to the farm shop today for some veg as I'm almost out and the garden is being slow!

Lunch today is a tuna sandwich (home made bread & mayonnaise) with home grown cucumber. Dinner will be pasta with veg and maybe using the last of the bacon in the fridge (unless OH eats that for his lunch!).

Hope everyone has a good day.

    Morning All,

Didn't sleep well, very disturbed by all the horrible violence in our cities. I normally visit Manchester once a week but will be giving it a wide birth for quite a while. I agree with you completely nmlc.
Happy Birthday Lou have a fab day:beer:

Its very wet here today so no washing. Tea tonight will be tuna steaks with new potatoes and salad.

Need to pop to the library and pick up some milk but wont be out long its too wet. I have lots of ebaying to do as well.

Tins empty again so will spend tomorrow baking.

Have a happy peaceful day all J x

    Morning all

Hope everyone is safe and well. Can't really add anything to what has already been said.

LOU hope you're ok, Happy Birthday!

Have been MIA trying to keep busy and spending a lot of time talking to police and social services. It appears my Aunt has been quite aware that she has given her money away, I don't think for one minute she is dementing but the police will get a psychiatrist to assess her. Have been trying to support my Mum who is very upset by the whole thing. Anyhow the house is spotless and I've been making curtains and gardening. My doctor has signed me off for a couple of weeks to sort my head out!

Am going next week to sign on with a couple of nursing agencies. I've decided that it's time to leave the NHS. It's really scary but I know it's the right thing to do for my mental health. I've done it before the last time the NHS hacked me off and lasted over 2 years. I only went back to the NHS as my step-son had cancer and I needed the sick and carers leave.

Hope all is well with everyone, not been able to read the thread. Big hugs to anyone who needs one. I'm off in a mo to do Mum's cleaning. LO roast chicken and salad for tea.

    Have a good day all

    morning!

I hope everyone's safe and well, especially Churchmouse's DS!

sistercas - enjoy your break, hope you enjoy Cadbury World - I loved it cos I'm a choccie fan:D

JackieO - well done to your DD and DGD:T:T

    Happy Birthday Lou!:bdaycake::beer:

Had a nice day with my friend yesterday - she's still snoring away as she's not a morning person:D her DS has got an interview this morning so fingers crossed for him - he's 19 and got made redundant a while ago.

DH had to come home from work in the early hours as he'd fallen over and knocked his head hard. He's got a couple of cuts and a lump and is feeling rather fragile. I'll keep a close eye on him during today as a precaution.

Plans today - just enjoy the day with my friend. We're off out for coffe this afternoon with another friend. Not sure what else we're doing yet.
Slimming World tonight where we're meeting up with yet another mutual friend.

Jacket spuds for lunch and curry for tea.

Have a great day all x
    Do what you love :happyhear

    Morning All

:bdaycake: Lou - Have a lovely day

(((hugs))) to those of you near, or with LO's near trouble spots, and with LO's any of the services.

I think those involved should be made to re-build/repair what they have done, and if they haven't the skills well it will be an opportunity to learn them, then they are qualified to get a job, so they won't be "bored" !!

(((hgs))), Hi-5's, Spoons, Vibes as needed - Take care all DG

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?
  • Happy Birthday Lou:j

Jannyannie.....you know my thoughts on the NHS, couldnt wait to get away!! Just make sure there is plenty of work on agencies these days as I know hospitals here dont use them as much now, only if desperate as the money isnt there to pay for it:o
I did nursing on the bank at the hospital 10 years ago and it was great, more money and more work than I can cope with....not the same now though. Good luck with it lovey:D x
