Just spoken to sister and best friend. They are both being forcibly sent home from work for safety reasons. This is ridiculous. I'd say call in the army but there aren't any available for immediate mobilisation. Labour has a lot to answer for.

H was sent home thankfully, Brum appears to be gridlocked as everyone leaves from what FB friends have posted. High police presence in my local town which thankfully is approx 10 mins away by car. It's not massively residential where the main shops are but considering the line of work my brother is in I am assuming his information is probably more accurate than twitter

DS was sent home from work with the rumour there were looters in the next street (Farringdon). He is home now and hopefully OK.

My DD and BF work in Manchester centre and they were sent home early. Sure enough they have set fire to Miss Selfridges and seems like there are major problems in Salford as well.
